I can't imagine desiring a job where you get no respect from your boss, you get ridiculed, you have to do all the dirty work. But four people work like crazy to have these things done to them. The patient this time is a punk rocker who has no respect for his own life. He leads everyone on a merry chase. He actually disappears from his room and they need to find him and resuscitate him and back to bed. His weaknesses are what really helps make the decision but as it turns out, it was all part of a grand plan. So House picks out two people, firing the two women. Of course, this wasn't going to fly with Cuddy. Really good episode with an interesting twist.

Bar none. God he was so good in this. So punchy. Why ever waste an actor of this caliber on boring, predictable superhero movies and mindless action crap?
Excellent episode both for the patient and the winnowing down of the new team to the final three. A grunge rocker (Jeremy Renner of ROAD TRIP) begins coughing up blood. Problem is, he is a heroin addict and drunkard who doesn't care if he lives or dies. House challenges the remainder of the candidates to solve this guy's problem or face expulsion. Predictably, they all try a little too hard. It is particularly interesting to watch the hard-driving Amber trying to relate to the nihilistic rocker, who harbors a very special secret. House has interesting set-tos with both Cuddy and Wilson, for very different reasons. Or are they? Whom he fires at the conclusion is a major shocker. But is he for real? Great stuff.

- TriviaThe patient, a punk rocker named Jimmy Quidd, was inspired by punk rocker Jimmi Quidd, who sang with New York punk band The Dots and produced for the band Bad Brains.
- GoofsIn this episode Dr. House plays a record to induce a seizure in a patient, but no record or record player is seen in the room. Instead House is seen using a bass guitar amplifier and speaker cabinet. It makes no sense for the sound heard to be coming out of that equipment. Even further: while House acts he's plugging into the mains, the amplifier wasn't, a LED would have indicate that on the face plate, and the equipment would have required both of the switches ON to operate.

Dr. James Wilson: Dying's easy. Living's hard!
Dr. Gregory House: That can't possibly be as poignant as it sounded.
