Rycart mentions the "Star Wars defense" which was a Strategic Defense Initiative started by the Reagan administration and perjoratively nicknamed by its critics after George Lucas' 1977 film.
In both films, the main character goes into the bathroom talking to his reflection in the mirror before being supposedly seduced by his employer's wife. The mirror shot of Ewan McGregor in The Ghost is almost identical to that of John Travolta in Pulp Fiction.
