Jason Statham in Crank: High Voltage (2009)

Goofs

Crank: High Voltage

Edit

Continuity

On Catalina Island: When El Huron sees the girl gun gang for the first time, the girls are shown with their guns already raised and aimed ready to fire, but the next clip shows the girls raising their guns.
When Chelios first calls Doc Miles, Doc's hand holding the phone switches from left to right repeatedly.
At the Strip Please club: The girl bartender is killed by a head-shot but a few seconds later, the same girl can be seen standing at the bar in the background with the forehead wound already in place.
When Chelios first wakes up in the Chinese operating room, the nurse lifts up the sheet comments about the size of his penis and inserts an anal thermometer. After he overcomes the doctors and gets out of bed, he's wearing underwear.
At the end of Crank 1, Chelios is running from the police and they saw him in the helicopter. However, in the beginning of Crank: High Voltage the TV presenter says that the man is unknown.

Factual errors

The obvious fact is that, having fallen hundreds of feet, even with bouncing off the roof of an automobile, Chev's body would have completely smashed every bone in his body. All of his organs, much less resistant, would also have been utterly destroyed. Of course, there is little in this film that conforms to actual reality.
After Chev questions the wounded gang member at the strip club, he tries to shoot him in the head but his gun is out of bullets. In reality the slide on the pistol would have locked back after firing his last bullet which would have told him he was out of ammo.
When the LAPD shock Chev Chelios with a TASER outside the strip club, they appear to are using the wrong model TASER. The LAPD employ the Advancer TASER M26, which is shaped like a pistol.
When Eve is in the interrogation/interview room, the police detective's sidearm can be seen in its belt holster. in reality police officers/constables do not bring their weapons into interrogation/interview rooms.
Chev fires at least 18 shots from a 9mm Beretta 92FS pistol that only holds 15 rounds.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

In the scene where Chelios goes outside after escaping the hospital he is behind a crate when a man sneaks up behind him with a Springfield Armory XD pistol. These pistols have a cocking pin indicator, as well as a round indicator on the top of the slide. In this scene the round indicator is down, meaning there is no round in the chamber. Chelios does a brass check after disarming the man, and does not rack a round in the chamber. In the following scene he shots two men with this weapon without a round chambered.

Revealing mistakes

When Chelios and Eve fall to the racetrack, they would have been right beside the bleachers. A shot a few seconds later shows them in the middle of the racetrack, 30 feet away.
When the paramedic stands up in the therapist's office, even before he gets hit by the bullet, you can see a small black hole on the side of his head, clearly showing where the CGI blood/bullet impact is supposed to be.
On Catalina Island: during the shooting there is a low angle shot under a beach chair. You can see the cabling for the squibs which where used a few seconds earlier for the Bulet impacts in the same chair. Also the you are able to see from the form of the impacts that webbing was destroyed from the button up rather then from the top as if a bullet had hit it.
In the scene where Chelios and Eve are having sex on the horse track, a clip of it was later shown on the news. However, the angle of the clip was as if the camera was right on the track with them.
When the cholos in the green muscle car approach Chev and demand a race, the stunt double is clearly seen even before Chev crashes and flies through the window.

Crew or equipment visible

At Hollywood Park, shortly after walking away from the guy he rubs against, the assistant director can be seen getting caught on camera and quickly removing his earpiece.
When Chev is driving in the car for the first time after his heart transplant, you can for a brief second, See the director in the right hand corner of the screen when Chev is asking the Mexicans where the cypress social club is.
