    There's No I in Team

A gas leak and an explosion causes a building to collapse. A woman is near death and brought in. Her boyfriend, who was outside the building, hovers over her. Her mother is also there, but she has been distant from the girl. House attempts to solve the case without a team, since all three left in the last episode. The result of this is out of the blue but entertaining.

House refuses to hire anyone. Wilson kidnaps his guitar and holds it for ransom. The ransom is that House hire three people to replace the last group. Cuddy also weights in but the results are as expected. I assume that now a large group is going to have to put their lives in House's hands as he selects a team.

    One of the best

For me, the beginning of the season 4 is probably one of the best sets of episodes for M.D. House (a good sets is the ones with the detective in a previous season). Here, House is really in free wheel, nothing to stop him, he is an absolute jerk without constraints or limits and it is funny, witty and ... well I must admit, absolutly without moral. About the medical case, it is so human... it does give a good balance to our favorite sociopath.

    • Trivia
In House's initial differential diagnosis, the hospital custodian submits that the patient may have lupus. This causes House to take an extra long pause. Incorrectly suggesting lupus as an underlying condition is a running gag on the show.
    • Goofs
Wilson says that House hired a team 3 years ago. However, only Foreman was hired at that time (3 days before the series started) while Cameron was already working for House for 6 months and Chase for even longer than that. Moreover, it was mentioned at some point in the early seasons that there were other members to House's team before the original three.
    • Quotes

Dr. Lisa Cuddy: Cameron would never have accepted that this guy knew nothing about the love of his life and as soon as you claimed it was multiple conditions, Foreman would have done anything to prove you wrong, and then Chase would have done anything to prove you right. Any one of them would have solved this days ago.

      [pause]

Dr. Lisa Cuddy: Hire a team. I don't care how you do it. ... Just do it!
