If you thought you’d seen it all when it came to Superheroes, the mega hit series ‘The Boys’ by Amazon Prime Original series made everyone eat humble pie. The series offers an alternative take on the superhero world and the way they are perceived in a way beyond your wildest imagination.
Set in a world where the multi-billion corporation Vought has their own brand of superheroes called The Seven or Supes, who have undisputed power over the public, politicians and the truth, we see a band of people team up to put them in their place and revolt against injustice.
After a phenomenal season 1, The Boys are ready to rock in season 2 with new episodes being dropped every Friday on Amazon Prime Video. With a third season already on the cards, it appears as though the show's incredible cast is going to be around for a very long time.

Just in time for the Halloween movie-going season, Netflix is bringing out the big guns, offering up Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining” as one of its marquee titles new to the service next month. Consider it a peace offering of sorts, as the rest of the month isn’t exactly bursting with other horror picks, beyond Mickey Liddell’s “The Haunting of Molly Hartley,” Jeff Wadlow’s “Truth or Dare,” and the decidedly creepy Dirty Harry feature “The Dead Pool.”

No, you don’t have to do a double-take. You did just see Haley Bennett in The Magnificent Seven, and now she’s back only a few short weeks later with another blockbuster affair, Tate Taylor’s The Girl On The Train. The Paula Hawkins adaptation also stars Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Justin Theroux and Luke Evans, but Bennett gets to star as arguably the most important cog in Hawkins’ twisty, mysterious machine. For those of you who read the book during its best-seller run, Bennett plays the part of Megan Hipwell. You know how things go.
For those who don’t, understand that Tate Taylor’s suburban nightmare is never what it seems. The film itself has screened to some pretty rocky reviews so far, so it looks like I’m in the minority of critics who believe The Girl On The Train is a homegrown story of passion...

Making a sequel to even a hit independent horror film can be a daunting task. It might not hold quite as much accountability as coming up with the next entry in the X-Men or Batman franchises, but still a nerve-wracking charge nonetheless. It’s a challenge Co-Directors Dallas Richard Hallam and Patrick Horvath embraced when asked to helm the follow-up to Nicholas McCarthy’s supernatural thriller The Pact.

Deep Powder
USA, 2013
Written and directed by Mo Ogrodnik
Movies about teenagers can tolerate cliche much better than movies about adults. The reason for this is fairly obvious: teenagers haven’t learned enough yet to avoid doing the wrong things that characters in movies shouldn’t do. Teenagers haven’t learned enough about love to avoid the wrong relationship, haven’t learned enough about crime to avoid getting caught, haven’t learned enough about necromancy to avoid reading from the Book of the Dead. So it’s not necessarily a bad thing to say that Mo Ogrodnik’s Deep Powder employs a number of plot or character points that have been seen before – these teenagers will have to learn their lessons the hard way, as all movie teenagers do.
Shiloh Fernandez (from the Evil Dead remake) plays a ski lift operator in a dead-end New England resort town in 1981, and...

Ingenue Haley Bennett has had a rocky rise since her screen debut with a supporting role as pop sensation Cora Corman in the forgettable romantic comedy Music and Lyrics in 2007. A lead role in the horror movie The Haunting of Molly Hartley followed, but that flick was scorned by critics, and her next lead turn in 2009's The Hole didn't debut domestically until this year. However, Bennett's prospects are on the rise as she is currently filming Terrence Malick's latest feature.not To The Wonder or Knight of Cups, the other one.which may not have a title but does boast an insanely prestigious ensemble that includes Michael Fassbender, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, and Cate Blanchett. Very little is known about Malick's nameless feature, but already its scoring Bennett renewed buzz as she's signed on to return to horror and leading roles for Kristy. Dimension and The Weinstein Company have announced their new horror 'Kristy' from director Oliver Blackburn, who helmed British thriller 'Donkey Punch' back in 2008. 'Kristy' is being described as a 'Rosemary's Baby' type horror flick and is set to star the gorgeous Haley Bennett ('The Hole', 'The Haunting of Molly Hartley'). A few days ago the Weinsteins also announced another due horror release for 2013, namely 'Satanic'. This is also reportedly a feature set to star Miss Bennett (below). So could we have some mixed reports coming in here and 'Satanic' and 'Kristy' are one of the same, or can we expect a double hit of horror from Bennett next year? Anthony Jaswinski, Scott Rosenberg and Gary Fielder have all worked on the script for 'Kristy' and you can check out the ploy details below....

The listing says that Haley Bennett (pictured above), previously seen in The Haunting Of Molly Hartley, Kaboom and Joe Dante’s The Hole, will star—and that’s all the info that seems to exist on-line. The Weinsteins have been known to announce—and date—projects that never saw fruition before (remember Robert Rodriguez’s Nerveracker, Rob Zombie’s Tyrannosaurus Rex and the still-languishing Halloween 3D?), so we’ll let you know if and when anything further develops.

Excision means removal by cutting cut. With that being said maybe you’ve learned something, so this review won’t be a complete waste of time. I may even be able to save you a bit of time by telling you that Excision is definitely worth seeing. Reading the rest of this review won’t spoil its rather knotted twist, but if you were looking for a movie to watch that’ll get under your skin, make for a great conversation starter after a few cocktails and leave you with a permanent case of “what the fuck was that?” I can say you’ve found it. It isn’t a horror movie no matter how many times I see it referred to as a horror comedy. You know me. I’ve pretty got a one track brain so when I choose to review a non-horror picture it probably means there...

Anchor Bay have announced that they intend to drop the gruesome Richard Bates Jr. horror flick 'Excision' onto both DVD and Blu-ray across the Us from 16 October. A couple of months ago it was announced that Boys Don't Cry director Kimberly Peirce was in talks to direct an adaptation of the classic Stephen King Horror novel Carrie. Today, Vulture reports that there are two girls at the top of MGM's list to take on the title role. The first is Hugo and Kick-Ass star Chloë Moretz, who's quite the incredible actress! Then there's Haley Bennett, who's been in films such as The Haunting of Molly Hartley, Marley and Me, and The Hole. I'm not really familiar with Bennett's work, I can't remember if she was good in these films or not. I think Moretz would destroy this part, and I'd like her to get it. The studio is also interested in casting Jodie Foster or Julianne Moore to take on the role of Carrie's insane mother.

MGM is working on a remake of "Carrie" and recently hired "Boys Don't Cry" helmer Kimberly Peirce to adapt Stephen King's book. And while King himself has stated that he would like Lindsay Lohan to star in the new film, the studio has other ideas. Dakota Fanning, Emily Browning (Sucker Punch), Bella Heathcote (In Time) and Lily Collins (The Blind Side) have all auditioned for the role. But NY Mag has learned that the list has now been narrowed down to two contenders: 15-year-old Chloe Moretz (Let Me In, Kick-Ass) and 24-year-old Haley Bennett (The Haunting of Molly Hartley). The two actresses are being considered only because Shailene Woodley (The Descendants) recently turned down an offer from MGM to take the title role. Meanwhile, the studio has approached Jodie Foster and Julianne Moore to play Carrie's crazy mother.
