After a nun passes away, Hildegard is shown cutting her frock off of her to cleanse her body, and her breasts are fully exposed.
In one scene, a few people are practicing self-flagellation. The whipping process and bloody lacerations are shown. This occurs again briefly. The nuns remove a dead person's clothes. Underneath there is a mortification belt and you can see the blood and lacerations that it produced. Hildegard removes a bandage from the back of a man who has been self-flagellating. Bloody wounds are seen.
