Solid mystery
coltras3524 April 2022
When a man on a rooftop shoots at Frank, almost killing him, Sister Steve goes undercover as a Taxi driver to catch the man who is targeting priests.

Solid mystery with someone targeting priests, and Father almost gets killed. Naturally, he investigates and the plot takes a steep turn, and there's a nice twist. It has good suspense, plus there's some humour regarding Father Phil. He has become a budding cameraman. His buffoonery actually assists Father Dowling in solving the case.

Mysterious and suspenseful

Four priest are supposed to stay at Father Dowling's house has guest. Three have come one is on his way. It seems they are welcomed by the Bishop to stay ad Father Dowling's without his knowledge so they don't have to go to a hotel The last priest is murdered at a railroad station and they thought it was a robbery gone wrong. The next day Father Pike, another guest who says he jogs every day (but is so overweight it is not believable) is jogging and is intentionally hit by a taxi driver.

Sister Steve and Father Dowling speak to a female resident to see if she saw anything. The neighbor cannot understand English. Sister speaks to her in Polish and finds out a cab driver had been parked in the area recently. Father Dowling believes the driver was targeting Father Pike. Sister applies for a job at the taxi company and snoops in one of the drivers lockers and finds out that Father Dowling is the next target.

Father Philip who works for the Bishop is always trying to get attention to impress him. He takes pictures and is at Father Dowlings a lot being a pest. His act is funny but to long and annoying in many of these episodes.

In these episodes Sergeant Clancy, a female cop is the head of the police in Father Dowlings neighborhood. In this series the way they have the police arrive on the scene is excellent. There is no shooting, doors flung open, cops all in place with the guns aimed at the criminals, very professional. I wish real life was this way.
