Raw Filmmaking. Worth Watching.

A gripping little thriller, good not great. Story a little choppy and simplistic, but acting very solid and the dialogue and directing good. Can't hear the lead guy at times, the guy playing the Puerto Rican Mercy Man. He's got a lot of screen charisma but needs to speak up. There were some good scares and good laughs and director shows some gritty urban style here and there and overall does a good job. And it moves fast so you're never bored . I'm thinking this was shot on 16mm or super 16, and while this gives it a good look, it keeps things tight visually and compresses them. Love Andre Royo from The Wire. Big fan of John Saxon who has cameo. And it even has Joe Franklin the talk show host, in it and Errol Flynn's grandson (if that's accurate). The cast is interesting, male and female lead really good.
