In 1996 HBO created a new late night boxing series "Boxing After Dark" that would show the sport's new young talent in close matched even fights, often many fights would feature undefeated fighters. This program has lived up to it's word the fights are never dull and the fighters often who start here later go on to be champions. Memories are good too, the best fight to date on BAD was in my opinion Derrick Jefferson vs. Maurice Harris in November 1999 which featured about 6 or 7 knockdowns before it ended with a bang in round 6! Also the Barrera- Morales war in Feburary 2000 ranks as an all-time classic with nonstop action! Many heavyweights have fought on BAD over the years including Wladimir Klitschko, who's now the man in the division, and hopefully a new US heavyweight can rise up the ranks on BAD and become a challenge to the Eastern Europe heavies. The broadcast legends of Lampley and Merchant are gone but the new trio is OK, you have NFL Network anchor Fran Charles as the blow by blow man and former champ Lennox Lewis and enthusiast Max Kellerman as analyst. Trust me "Boxing After Dark" is must see for any boxing fan a great way to see even fights with up and coming talent.
