I'm autistic and love this quirky episode!

A boy has tantrums and a bizarre illness with dizziness among other symptoms. I love how Gregory House struggles with change after his carpet from his office gets taken away due to having blood on it from he when he was shot! Great how many toys or comforting items are in this one! Interesting how the kid ate some things and potentially got sick from it in another one a kid put things up his nose in a side sequence. I love how Wilson reads Cutty the symptoms of Asperger's towards the end!

    What Does One Do?

This would have been a ten if not for the tiresome obsession of House with his old carpet. In my opinion, if Cuddy hadn't been his friend, he would be out in the street for good. Did I miss something about the reasoning behind appeasing him. His manipulations. His office hopping. All of that is almost boring. Not to mention his thing with the seventeen year old girl.

The case itself makes one crawl a bit. Those parents and thousands like them wake up each day having deal with such a child. To have someone seriously ill and unable to communicate what is wrong, only go into violent convulsions of anger, would be so hard. A well portrayed reality. When the disease goes away, he is still back to square one.

    • Trivia
In trying to get rid of Ali, House quotes virtually verbatim Rick Blaine's farewell speech to Ilsa Lund in "Casablanca".
    • Goofs
The side plot involves House being seduced by a 17 year old stalker. Repeatedly through the episode it is mentioned that she is under aged. However, the age of consent in New Jersey is 16. The character herself indicates that the age of consent in Iceland is 14 to try and convince House that it would be OK to have sex with her, it's odd that she would know the age of consent in Iceland but not the state she lives in.

Dr. Lisa Cuddy: [talking about the 17-year-old who has a crush on House] Your girlfriend called the clinic 15 times looking for you today.

Dr. Gregory House: Huh. Lot to discuss. China patterns...

Dr. Lisa Cuddy: House. She's a stalker.

Dr. Gregory House: Right. Couldn't be that she finds me interesting, attractive. Has to be that she's insane.

Dr. Lisa Cuddy: She's called you 15 times. Your mother's not that interested in you.

Dr. Gregory House: Well, maybe I'd be better adjusted if she was.

Dr. Lisa Cuddy: I'm notifying security.

Dr. Gregory House: Is this about the carpet? Do you think I'll back off if you block all my fun?

Dr. Lisa Cuddy: You better not be having fun.

Dr. Gregory House: I'm having fun. I'm not having sex.

      Dr. Lisa Cuddy: She's dangerous.

Dr. Gregory House: She's not dangerous.

      Dr. Lisa Cuddy: She's pretty.

      Dr. Gregory House: She's pretty.

Dr. Lisa Cuddy: Men are stupid.

Dr. Gregory House: I'm with you so far.

Dr. Lisa Cuddy: I'm notifying security.

Dr. Gregory House: Give her a break. She's not dangerous, she's ... insightful.

[as Cuddy steps into a meeting, he yells:]

Dr. Gregory House: You can't stop our love!

      [Cuddy looks embarrassed]
