Thunderbolts* finished its second weekend at the #1 position and has not only crossed the $200 million milestone but two MCU films as well. One of the movies is The Marvels, the biggest flop in the MCU’s history, and the other is the second-lowest-grossing movie. Some of you might have guessed the name, but for those who couldn’t, stick to the end to find out.
The Marvel movie crossed the $100 million mark when it entered its second weekend. However, its dailies do not showcase any overwhelming results. The film is enjoying a decent run for now, which is not enough for it to leave a mark despite receiving positive reviews. All the actors have been praised for their performances, and the fans are interested in seeing them reprise their roles in the upcoming movies in the MCU.

It’s hard to overstate just how much of a cultural phenomenon the MCU has been. When it began in 2008 with Iron Man, no one ever could have imagined that the franchise would still be going seventeen years later. In fact, with its thirty-six films, it’s by far the most popular franchise Hollywood has ever put out, and totally revolutionized the industry. Since then, it’s been a race between studios to establish their own shared universe where a franchise no longer depends on one character or movie star, but envelops a never-ending series of new heroes who can be cycled in and out.
However, there’s arguably a downside to its success, as while many have tried to be another Marvel, none have succeeded. Too many superhero movies have given way to genre fatigue, with Marvel movies no longer the surefire smash hits they once were. While Thunderbolts...

The MCU movie Thunderbolts* is set to surpass The Marvels at the worldwide box office in its second weekend. The Marvels, like this Florence Pugh starrer, is also part of the MCU’s Phase 5, but is the biggest flop ever. The sequel to 2019’s Captain Marvel, is one of the highest-grossing Marvel movies, earning over $1.13 billion worldwide. The Marvels earned 81.78% less than its predecessor and was even below The Incredible Hulk’s global haul, becoming the lowest-grossing MCU movie in history. It depends on...

MCU Phase 5 At Worldwide Box Office (Photo Credit – Instagram/Hotstar)
The Marvel Cinematic Universe, aka MCU, created by Marvel Studios, produces some of the highest-grossing movies, and for better understanding, it is divided into several phases. At present, Phase 5 ended with Thunderbolts* and began in 2023 with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quatumania. It includes Deadpool and Wolverine, and today, we will be ranking the Phase 5 movies according to their box office collections. Keep scrolling for the deets.
The fifth phase continued to deal with the multiverse and faced several changes, too. It introduced Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man 3, but due to Jonathan Majors’ abuse case, Disney dropped him, and they had to pivot towards Doctor Doom, bringing back Robert Downey Jr. They also tried to stay relevant with their storyline in The Marvels, but that too tanked miserably. James Gunn’s final MCU movie and Hugh Jackman’s return as...

Thunderbolts* North America Box Office Day 5 Update ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Thunderbolts*, aka The New Avengers, saw a big jump on its first Tuesday compared to its Monday gross, and with that, it has surpassed the domestic haul of The Marvels. It is reportedly the largest percentage increase in the MCU’s history on Tuesday. The film finally saw some benefit from its strong word of mouth. Keep scrolling for more.
The Marvels, released in 2023, is the biggest MCU flop, with a budget of more than $200 million. The film featured Brie Larson, Samuel L Jackson, Iman Vellani, and Teyonah Parris in the pivotal roles. The audience did not enjoy the all-female flick due to a weak plotline and the over-the-top humor. Despite good visuals and action sequences, the film failed miserably at the box office, collecting only $84.5 million in its domestic run.
The New Avengers exploded on its first Tuesday discount day.

Thunderbolts*, which is now being promoted as The New Avengers, not only earned a decent opening weekend but it has now scored one of the lowest-ever first Mondays for MCU movies. The film, starring an ensemble cast, is even behind The Incredible Hulk’s 1st Monday collection but has luckily beaten that of The Marvels and Eternals. Although the film is widely appreciated for its emotional theme, it has yet to gain momentum at the box office to succeed. Scroll below for more.
The film has been awarded an A- on CinemaScore and received good ratings on Rotten Tomatoes even though it is not yet picking up, and this might be because of the bad reputation Marvel has generated in the past few years. However, this is going to affect the upcoming movies as well. People are still not ready...

[This story contains spoilers for Thunderbolts*]
Director Jake Schreier‘s Thunderbolts* caught many audiences by surprise this weekend. Not only in terms of what’s behind the name, which I’ll get to, but its lack of conventionality. The Marvel Studios movie proved to be a hit with critics who have been less forgiving of certain Marvel-isms of late. The positive reception feels like a legitimate game-changer for the MCU going forward. And not in the conventional way of box office records or audiences doing flips and screaming themselves hoarse in theaters. It’s a quieter, more profound and arguably more important kind of game-changer that once again shows that Marvel Studios is at its best when it leans on underdogs and defies expectations.
The cycle of proclamations claiming, “Marvel is over!” followed by, “Marvel is back!” has grown tiresome because neither is true. Marvel is simply here, a constant that, like all long-running franchises,...

For better or worse, Edward Norton is known to fully commit himself to his acting choices. He earned an Academy Award nomination earlier this year, for his supporting performance in the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown. The movie re-established him as the star he'd always been touted as, right from his first-ever big-screen appearance in the courtroom drama Primal Fear, which, incidentally, earned him an Oscar nod as well. Directed by Gregory Hoblit, the movie was headlined by Richard Gere, and released to positive reviews in 1996. It has since developed a reputation as a '90s classic, and is now becoming quite a hit on streaming following its debut on Netflix.
According to FlixPatrol, Primal Fear has accumulated a total of 354 points in May, and is the 16th-biggest film on Netflix for the month so far. The movie is doing particularly well in Canada, several European countries, and the Middle East.

Thunderbolts* North America Box Office: Beats Captain America: The First Avenger, The Marvels & More With Its Opening Weekend Collection (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Marvel Studios’ latest film, Thunderbolts* might have registered a lower opening weekend than Captain America: Brave New World and Black Widow, but it still prevented itself from registering one of the lowest openings for MCU movies. Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan’s film has surpassed The Marvels, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Thor’s more depressing debut, and therefore, it is not a part of MCU’s 5 lowest opening weekends list. Unlike some of the movies in this list, the film has opened with positive reactions. The Marvels is the biggest box office failure among the MCU flicks, ending its theatrical run with slightly more than $200 million. It was released in 2023, and The First Avenger was the MCU debut of Stan, where...

It began with 2008’s “Iron Man,” a film that introduced the world to Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark with the hint that he could be part of something greater. Over 30 films later, the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still being told, albeit with various tributaries and detours that introduce new characters and new worlds that may or may not cross paths one day. Each film in the MCU stands on its own to some degree, but like building blocks, they all connect as part of one interconnected universe. And in that way, watching the Marvel movies in order tells one grand story.
There are a couple of different ways to watch the Marvel movies in order, but below we run down how to watch the MCU in chronological and release date order. Indeed, some films like “Captain Marvel” and “Captain America: The First Avenger” are full-on prequels...

This post contains spoilers for Marvel's "Thunderbolts*."
After several years of wondering what Marvel's newest team was going to look like, we need no longer wonder as "Thunderbolts*" is in theaters as we speak. Director Jake Schreier has brought the team to life on the big screen to bring Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to a close ... kind of. What did that asterisk in the film's title mean, exactly? While this may be a bit of an oversimplification, it essentially meant we weren't watching a movie about the Thunderbolts at all.
As we come to learn by the end of "Thunderbolts*," that asterisk existed because the team in the movie was actually introduced to the world as the New Avengers. That's right! Marvel pulled a fast one on us. The team consisting of Yelena Belova, Ghost, John Walker, Red Guardian, and Bucky Barnes is the New Avengers and not the Thunderbolts.

Marvel’s Most Low-Budget Movie Ever(Photo Credit –Marvel/Hotstar)
When people think of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the mind often jumps straight to billion-dollar box office figures, jaw-dropping VFX sequences, and star-studded ensembles. Marvel is, without a doubt, a machine built on scale. But it wasn’t always like this. The MCU had to prove itself before the sprawling multiverse, the time travel plots, and reality-shifting battles. And that journey started with tighter budgets, sharper storytelling, and much more risk.
It’s easy now to assume that every Marvel film has a blank cheque attached to it. With Disney’s financial power and Marvel Studios’ track record, budgets often climb into the hundreds of millions today. But go back far enough, and you’ll find a time when every dollar counted. Every explosion had to be justified, and every casting decision weighed not just for character fit but affordability.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe officially kicked off in 2008 with Iron Man, and is still going strong nearly two decades later with its 36th feature film, Thunderbolts, opening in U.S. theaters on May 2. But for every Oscar-winning juggernaut like Black Panther or beloved action-comedy like Guardians of the Galaxy, there are MCU films that even the truest of fans wish never happened. We've consulted the cumulative IMDb scores and have come up with the definitive ranking of all Marvel Cinematic Universe movies to date.
Produced by Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige, the MCU is a shared universe of American superhero films based on countless editions of Marvel Comics. It's easily the highest-grossing movie franchise in history, topping $31.5 billion globally, with Avengers: Endgame being the biggest earner at $2.8 billion worldwide.

With Thunderbolts, Marvel is on the comeback.
The new movie from Jake Schreier (Beef) has garnered some of the best reviews for a Marvel movie since Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, signaling a modest return to form for the Marvel Cinematic Universe after recent misfires like Captan America: Brave New World, The Marvels, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
The expectation is that Thunderbolts, with its cast led by Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Sebastian Stan, will dominate the box office this weekend, and — at the very least — reinvigorate the MCU fanbase before The Fantastic Four: First Steps kick starts a new Marvel franchise in July. However, as with any Marvel movie, there’s also the potential for Thunderbolts to factor into next year’s Oscars race. While the movie is unlikely to garner recognition for its above-the-line contributors, it could find itself competitive in several craft categories — especially if...

Most of Marvel Studios’s films are the cinematic equivalent of breadcrumbs, which have been dropped into theaters strategically so as to keep one looking for the next sequel or crossover, when the endless televisual exposition will eventually, theoretically yield an event of actual consequence. Occasionally, however, a Marvel film transcends this impersonality and justifies one’s patience. Weird, stylish, and surprisingly lyrical, Ant-Man, Iron Man 3, and Doctor Strange attest to the benefits of the old Hollywood-style studio system that Marvel has resurrected: Under the umbrella of structure and quota is security, which can bequeath qualified freedom. On the occasion of the release of Thunderbolts*, here’s a ranking of every film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to date. Chuck Bowen

'The Incredible Hulk' creator Kenneth Johnson believes the two Hulk movies flopped because the audiences didn't accept the CGI character in the real world. The 82-year-old screenwriter-and-producer was responsible for bringing the Marvel Comics character to life on the small screen in the iconic TV series which ran from 1977 to 1982 and starred Bill Bixby as Dr. David Bruce Banner and professional bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno as the giant green brute.Johnson, like audiences, was underwhelmed with Universal's two films; Ang Lee's 2003 'Hulk' and Louis Leterrier's 'The Incredible Hulk', released in 2008, and the reason for both movies box office drop-offs and lukewarm reviews was that it was hard to accept the CGI Hulk acting against the human cast.Speaking to Bang Showbiz, he said: "After the first movie came out it opened really big, but the second week it was the historic fall...

Which Film Nearly Sank The MCU After Iron Man’s Success? (Photo Credit – Prime Video)
Before The Incredible Hulk hit theaters in 2008, the MCU was still a glimmer in Marvel’s eye, with only a handful of films to its name. The big gamble had just begun, and things were looking promising with Iron Man paving the way for what would become the most successful movie franchise in history.
But then, The Incredible Hulk came along, and, well, let’s just say it didn’t exactly help the cause. Despite the star power of Edward Norton and some solid action sequences, the movie struggled to make waves at the box office and was critically panned. It was a near miss for the fledgling MCU, leaving fans and execs alike sweating over its future. If Hulk had truly bombed, who knows? We might not have gotten Avengers: Endgame after all.

Captain America: Brave New Worldshocked audiences with the return of Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson). The character hadn't been seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the release of The Incredible Hulk during the early days of the franchise. But the design for the villain that was seen in the movie wasn't Marvel Studios' first idea. Blue Whale Makeup, one of the companies who worked on the sequel directed by Julius Onah, revealed a new look at one of the original designs for the character. The Leader can be seen with the big, green head that makes him stand out from other characters in the Marvel comic books.
The story of Captain America: Brave New World followed Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) as he was still getting used to his role as Captain America. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) isn't around to save people anymore, leaving Wilson with all the responsibility connected to carrying the shield.

Tim Blake Nelson had to wait 17 years to reprise The Leader, whose transformation was merely teased in The Incredible Hulk. Many were disappointed with the supervillain's design in Brave New World, however, especially in comparison to the scrapped original.
New photos reveal what Tim Blake Nelson's The Leader would have looked like in Captain America: Brave New World, and Marvel fans agree it's a better design. Blue Whale Studios, a special effects and makeup company, confirmed they were hired to create prosthetics for Nelson's character, but that version wasn't used in the film's final cut. "Drawing inspiration from the original comic book art, we developed a look that felt both grounded and iconic—true to the source while achieving a refined, natural realism," the studio wrote on Instagram. The post also had pictures of Nelson's final look, as well as a video of his transformation.

Samuel Sterns (aka The Leader) appeared in Captain America: Brave New World with a dramatic new look and it's been confirmed that the character's design saw several changes throughout the production process.
Tim Blake Nelson originally played Sterns in The Incredible Hulk, which set up the scientist's turn into his villainous comic book character. This came to fruition almost two decades later, when Nelson reprised his role in Captain America: Brave New World, this time sporting The Leader's inhuman look.
Fans knew that The Leader was coming to cause trouble for Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) in Captain America 4, but the character's true face surprised audiences in cinemas.

We now have a good glimpse at something that could have been in this year's "Captain America: Brave New World." Specifically, we have our best look yet at Tim Blake Nelson's The Leader in his practical makeup in the film. It is, to put it mildly, quite the departure from what we ended up with. We know a lot changed with this movie throughout its lengthy development process -- even the original subtitle, "New World Order," was changed along the way. Nelson's look was evidently one of the big changes made during reshoots. Check it out for yourself:

Nearly 20 years after making his MCU debut in The Incredible Hulk, Tim Blake Nelson reprised his role as Samuel Sterns inCaptain America: Brave New World, this time in his villain form, The Leader. His role in the film has been subject to much discussion, primarily due to the extensive reshoots that saw his overall design radically modified from a comic-accurate interpretation of the material. Now, Marvel Studios has officially unveiled what Nelson would look like as his villainous alter ego in Brave New World, and it is destined to only further divide the fanbase.
The original design, made up of practical effects and make-up, of Nelson's Leader was a far more comic-accurate version of the classic Hulk villain. However, for a movie like Captain America: Brave New World, which attempts to be a more "grounded" MCU film à la Winter Soldier, the massive forehead concept may not have been the right move.

Marvel had a rough year in 2023. Many of its properties underperformed, and they lost their big villain due to Jonathan Majors being fired. Looking forward to their upcoming slate, comic fans have been excited about some of the studio’s projects over the next few years. Will these films help Marvel regain control? The upcoming Thunderbolts film has been one that fanboys have been hoping to see since the MCU started. With some recent news about the property coming up, it seems like the right time to break down what we know about the production.
Who Are The Thunderbolts?
The team first appeared in Marvel Comics in 1997 in an issue of The Incredible Hulk. They seemed to be a new group of superheroes that had arrived on the scene and gained acclaim very quickly. The reader was informed that the group was actually a group of supervillains led by Baron Zemo.

Days after debuting on digital streaming platforms, Marvel's Captain America: Brave New World celebrated passing its final domestic box office milestone. It's an achievement that serves little purpose other than satisfy optics, because it's clear now that the superhero sequel wasn't quite able to live up to high expectations. It remains one of the lowest-grossing and worst-rated Marvel Cinematic Universe titles of all time, having opened amid a flurry of negative reporting around a difficult post-production period. The movie did rather well in its opening weekend, but struggled to maintain momentum in the subsequent weeks.
Brave New Worldhas now passed the $200 million mark at the domestic box office, a full 62 days after its debut. Globally, the film will likely pass the $415 million mark before tapping out once and for all. It’s ironic. The collaborative efforts of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) gave us the only instance when Tom Holland’s Sony-backed Spider-Man crossed paths with Charlie Cox’s Disney-bound Daredevil on screen. You might remember that scene where Matt Murdock comforts Peter Parker with some “really good” lifesaving legal counsel.
The comic books would tell you of an even more intricate relationship, however. ‘The Man Without Fear and ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Webslinger’ are both proud New Yorkers. But that’s not the only thing they’ve got in common. From sharing enemies and frenemies, to helping each other out through tough times, Spidey and Hornhead have been acquainted, right from the early ‘60s.
But even if The Kingpin keeps calling back to “a man who dresses in a spider outfit” on the new Disney+ show Daredevil: Born Again, the odds of an on-screen reunion seem highly unlikely. Why? Well,...

Marvel’s Both Hulks, Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo Agree on One Thing About This Legendary Director

Mark Ruffalo and Edward Norton have both been able to create quite a career for themselves in Hollywood. With both actors having critically acclaimed films under their belt, it is a given that they must have worked with some of the best names in Hollywood.
While both actors have been part of the massively successful Marvel Cinematic Universe, they have also run with directors who have worked with both of them, such as David Fincher. Both these actors have praised how the director handles his work, and how is able to deliver great movies time and again.

Mere days before it debuts on PVOD platforms, Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World has passed what will likely be its final box office milestone. Remarkably, the movie still hasn't passed the $200 million mark domestically. This wouldn’t have made much difference to its final haul, but for a project of this magnitude to fail to hit even $200 million domestically doesn’t make for great optics. As it is, it was barely able to scrape past the $400 million mark worldwide — this is often considered the benchmark for success for movies this size.
With $199.9 million domestically and another $ million from overseas markets, Brave New Worldhas hit a cumulative global total of around $415 million. This puts it around $300 million shy of Captain America: The Winter Soldier’s lifetime global gross from over a decade ago, and around $700 million short of Captain America: Civil War’s lifetime haul from 2016. While Avengers: Doomsday will see various names from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and multiverse) unite, it appears one group of characters that will not be present are the Eternals, according to one of the film's stars. Given that Eternalsended on a massive cliffhanger, with a Celestial set to judge humanity's fate, and post-credits scenes introducing Harry Styles as Eros and teasing Blade and Black Knight, there were plenty of set-ups for future stories, and many assumed the heroes would return quite soon. Despite Doomsday including several prominent MCU teams, including Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, and X-Men together in an epic team-up film, notably absent from the cast announcement were any members of Eternals.

While MCU fans recently saw the cinematic debut of Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World, it's a bit of a mystery when we’ll see the original Hulk on the big screen again. Even with that puzzling thought, this rage-filled Avenger has gotten a ton of merchandise to hold us over till our lovable green giant makes a comeback. After a quiet 2024, the Marvel Cinematic Universe was supposed to make a big, explosive comeback in 2025. Unfortunately, not everything has gone according to plan during the first months of the year. While the Disney Plus projects, such as Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Daredevil: Born Again, premiered to a raving critical reception, the same can't be said for Marvel's first theatrical venture of 2025: Captain America: Brave New World.
Cap's movie only grossed $413 million on a budget of around $180 million without accounting for marketing expenses and reshoots — which, at best, means that it barely made a profit. At worst? Disney had another loss on its hands. Furthermore, Daredevil's numbers haven't necessarily exceeded expectations either. The series' opening gathered 7.5 million viewers, which is still an impressive number considering its 18+ rating, yet it falls short compared to the 10.9 million viewers for the first episode of Loki season 2. Marvel's record hasn't been impecable as of late,...

Thunderbolts* is looking to kick off the summer movie season with an impressive opening weekend, though it speaks to how successful the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become that it would be on the lower end of the franchise. Marvel Studios has given the coveted first weekend of May to Thunderbolts*, the same window in which they have released box-office smash hits like The Avengers, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and the very first Iron Man. With a rag-tag team of anti-heroes and lesser-known characters, Thunderbolts* is looking to capture the same outside-the-superhero-genre tone that made the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise such a hit.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Thunderbolts* is currently tracking for a $70 million opening weekend, with lower estimations suggesting $63 million, while on the high end, it could reach $77 million. This does align with previous box office tracking that said...

It's not just the Xenomorphs who are entering the Marvel Universe and clashing with its superheroes. Alongside the almost-finished "Aliens Vs Avengers" series, Marvel is now putting out a six-issue "Godzilla vs Marvel" meta-series. Each issue jumps ahead a decade and pits Big G against a different A-List Marvel hero.
The first issue, set in the 1960s, was "Godzilla vs Fantastic Four" #1. Naturally, it was Marvel's first family who got the first swing at the bat. The second issue will be "Godzilla vs Hulk" #1, written by Gerry Duggan and drawn by Giuseppe Camuncoli, and set in the 1970s. Marvel has shared an exclusive preview of the book with /Film.
"Godzilla vs the Hulk" is the most obvious pair-up, because they're both monsters representing the atomic bomb. The original 1954 "Gojira" channeled Japan's still recent cultural memory of the U.S. unleashing the atomic bomb on Hiroshima & Nagasaki. Lots of the classic...

Yesterday, we got word that Marvel Studios' Captain America: Brave New World will be available to buy and rent on digital platforms from April 15, before releasing on 4K Blu-ray/DVD on May 13, and a pair of BTS featurettes from the bonus features have now been shared online.
The first highlights the early assassination attempt on President Ross (Harrison Ford), and we also have an interview with Tim Blake Nelson, who made his MCU return as Dr. Samuel Sterns after debuting in The Incredible Hulk back in 2008.
We caught a few shadowy glimpses of Sterns, aka the Leader, in the buildup to Brave New World's release, but he wasn't fully unveiled until the movie was in theaters, and the character's look was... not particularly well-received!

After a bumpy ride through production, Captain America: Brave New World reached theatres on February 14th – and over the last two months, it has earned about $413 million at the global box office. Now, SuperHeroHype has learned that the film is set to receive a digital release next week, on April 15th, with the 4K Uhd, Blu-ray, and DVD release to follow on May 13th.
The film went into production in March of 2023, with filming lasting through June. In December of ’23, another screenwriter was brought onto the project to write new material for reshoots, which seemed to be quite substantial. It was said that the reshoots were primarily done to rework three major action sequences – and this included adding Giancarlo Esposito into the mix as Sidewinder, the leader of the Serpent Society, while also dropping a Serpent Society character that was played by wrestler Seth Rollins.

After eight full weekends in theaters, things are finally slowing down at the box office for Captain America: Brave New World. Anthony Mackie’s big-screen debut as the Star-Spangled Man has earned $199 million at the domestic box office and $213 million internationally for a total of $412 million worldwide. While this is enough to make it one of the three highest-grossing movies of the year globally and the #1 movie domestically, it doesn’t hold up so well against the rest of the MCU. Brave New World has earned less than half the box office total of 17 MCU movies, and it is currently the sixth-lowest-grossing MCU movie ever. Brave New World has passed only The Marvels, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger, Black Widow, and Eternals.

'Captain America: Brave New World's Global Box Office Haul Can't Top This MCU Superhero Introduction

After nearly two months of release in theaters worldwide, Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World is on its last legs. The superhero movie had a solid-enough debut at the box office, but couldn’t maintain the same momentum across the next few weeks. It remains among the lowest-grossing films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s history, but was able to pass the all-important $400 million mark globally some days ago. It’s mainly for optics, but anything less than $400 million for a film this size is considered disappointing. Directed by Julius Onah, Brave New World passed what will likely be its final milestone this week, as it prepares to land on digital soon.
With $199 million domestically so far, the movie will probably pass the $200 million mark by the end of its run. It will, however, remain the second-lowest-grossing Captain America movie ever, behind Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War.

Captain America: Brave New World will collect one final box office milestone this weekend as it paves the way for the next Marvel movie of 2025 to hit theaters. Anthony Mackie’s debut as Captain America has grossed $197 million at the domestic box office and $211 million internationally for a worldwide cumulative haul of $409 million. The film will surge towards $200 million at the domestic box office this weekend, which it should have no trouble reaching if not by Sunday, then early next week. Captain America: Brave New World is still in the lower echelon of Marvel movies in terms of its box office gross. It has earned enough globally to pass The Marvels, The Incredible Hulk, The First Avenger, Black Widow, andEternals, but it still needs $23 million to pass Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Steven Spielberg is one of the most legendary visionaries in the entirety of Hollywood’s entertainment industry, and a lot more than just his works speaks volumes to testify to the same.
As creative as he is as one of the most praiseworthy directors of all time, the mastermind really is one of a kind, as he somehow manages to pull decisions beyond others’ wildest imagination.

In Philip Kenndy Johnson and Nic Klein's current run on The Incredible Hulk, now hitting the two-year mark, the Hulk has been hunted by the primordial being known as the Eldest, who has been sending all manners of monsters after the Jade Giant. However, the Hulk's traveling companion during the last two years, Charlie Tidwell, has recently acquired the Godskin, a pelt made from the skin of a monster known as Lycana. The pelt gives Charlie super strength, but it also gives her a taste for blood. Bruce Banner, during a period he had control of his body again, told Charlie she should get the Hulk to bring her to Doctor Strange to see if he can help with her new bloodlust. In Julius Onah's 2025 superhero flick "Captain America: Brave New World" -- the 35th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- Tim Blake Nelson reprises his role as Samuel Sterns, a brilliant scientist with a massive brain and an evil scheme at hand. Sterns had previously been seen in Louis Leterrier's 2008 film "The Incredible Hulk," wherein he suffered a head wound and was knocked onto a laboratory floor. Gamma-irradiated blood extracted from Bruce Banner dripped into Sterns' head wound, and his skull instantly began to swell.
In "Brave New World," we finally see the result of Sterns' skull-swelling: he had been transformed into a hyper-intelligent villain. Known as The Leader in Hulk comics, Stern had greenish skin, clouded eyes, and an outsize head with brain-like crevices in it. He claimed to be so smart that he could predict the outcome of anything. The "skull-brain" look for the character was...

Captain America: Brave New World continues the Marvel Cinematic Universe's string of polarizing post-Avengers: Endgame releases, with the superhero sequel earning mixed reviews from critics as its theatrical run nears its end. As the Valentine's Day release keeps getting little love from film buffs, one of its writers believes they "got it wrong" with their reviews.
Speaking with The Direct during WonderCon, Brave New World co-screenwriter Rob Edwards addressed the negative feedback from critics following the MCU blockbuster's release this past February. The Captain America sequel has a 48% critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes and one of the worst marks for an MCU movie on CinemaScore. When asked if the reception was what he expected, Edwards said, "I kinda did, kinda didn't. I think similar things have happened... with a lot of different projects. It was weird to me, because some of my friends who are critics, I said, 'I think you guys missed it.
