- SG-1 travels to a planet whose people are allies of the Asgard.
- SG1 travels to a Stargate where O'Neill looks into a strange device that downloads information into his brain. Back on Earth, he starts to speak using a strange language. Carter and Teal'c try to find a solution and become trapped on a burning hot planet, when the Stargate fails to dial out. O'Neill solves the problem by designing a solution, but then he designs a device. But for what purpose?—Anonymous
- Traveling to a new planet, SG-1 arrives at a stargate facility which seems an empty hall, but just passing a circle activates technology which grips Teal'c, who is rejected because of his symbiont as a Goa'uld-security, and Jack, whose head is filled with information, as only becomes apparent after their return to SGC, where Jack soon starts speaking an unknown language, which Daniel qualifies as a variant of medieval vulgar Latin, writing down a form of mathematics too advanced even for Carter, and even enters machine code and data which enable the now upgraded computer system to map far more stargates, thanks to an additional eighth chevron also in other galaxies. While Daniel must stay as interpreter with Jack, who loses his mastery of English, Carter and Teal'c travel to a new address, but prove unable to return while the extremely hot sun will fry them in a matter of hours. Jack is, however, able to build a device to save them, and to upgrade the stargate energy supply, so as to allow it to travel to destinations with an eight-chevron address identifying other galaxies, despite the warning he may be unable to return. It brings Jack -alone- to the authors of the device which loaded his brain: Thor's race, the Asgard. Before sending him back they clear his brain, and tell him the device was only meant for more advanced races, notably an alliance of four, such as the Ancients, who built the stargates, and the Nox.—KGF Vissers
- Daniel Jackson believes he has found a planet where the local inhabitants may be allied with the Asgard. Col. O'Neill is taken hold of by a device after which he was catatonic for about an hour. He seems to have recovered well but he is soon speaking in an unknown language and generally acting quite strange. Gen. Hammond restricts him to the base and he too begins to realize he has changed. With his brain operating at over 90% capacity (10% is normal) he enters code into a computer that provides a map to the location of gates they did not know existed. The information comes from a people called the Ancients, who Daniel think may have been the original builders of the gate system. When Teal'c, Sam and two others are trapped on a planet with extremely high temperatures, O'Neill builds a device that will allow them to return - and also give them access to something else.—garykmcd
- Jack, Sam, Daniel and Teal'c travel to a planet and when Jack trips on a circle, he activates a strange device that holds his head and he faints. Back on SGC, the SG-1 has a meeting with General Hammond and Jack has a strange behavior, using different words. Soon they all know that the device has downloaded an alien language into his brain. Meanwhile Sam, Teal'c and two other soldiers travel to a planet expecting to help Jack. However they discover that the planet has two suns and they will burn with the heat and they are unable to dial to return to Earth. But Jack sends a schematic drawing showing how to fix the apparatus and the group returns to the SGC. Dr. Fraiser finds that Jack is using 90% of his brain capacity. What might have happened to Jack?—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
