- Brett is surprised to learn that Greensleeves, an empty country house that once belonged to his family, has been reopened without his knowledge. Finding a letter from its new 'owners' to a theatrical agent he goes to the house masquerading as himself with Danny posing as his valet. The occupants need his reassuring presence as they are hosting the president of Zanda, whom Brett once knew. In fact they are planning to kidnap the president in an effort to gain control of his country's mineral resources. Fortunately Brett has the advantage of them as he knows all the secret passages in the house.—don @ minifie-1
- It's been six or seven years since the 15th Earl, Lord Brett Sinclair, last visited the noble manor of Greensleeves, a family estate and an actual ruin, only to discover that strangely, someone has restored it in a hurry and all the things that Brett personally stored away, are now back in place. Inevitably, to find out who is behind all this, Brett and Danny will use a cloak and dagger approach, or rather, "Consilio et prudentia", as an old school motto says, which means "sneaky is best". As Brett needs to impersonate himself with Danny as the manor's new butler, before long, they will find out the new occupants' schemes that include the Prime Minister of Zanda and its rich nickel deposits, however, in a place where things are not what they appear, can the boys keep it up to discover what the devious team is planning?—Nick Riganas
