    Humanity is Fragile

Most of this episode is behind the scenes as Stacy preps Chase for peer review after he lost a patient. A young woman comes to him with what appears at first to be a routine problem. As time goes along she begins to bleed and Chase misdiagnosis her problems. The problem comes from him being an emotional mess from a sad event. We are given flashbacks of all the events. The woman's brother is very aggressive and contentious. House, of course, is confrontational and of little help. We get a picture of howxfragile doctors can be unless they are focused 100 percent of the time. The must make quick decision but the body is complex.

One of The Most underrated episodes from House!

This was for me a truly gem of an episode. From start to finish I was hooked on and enjoyed basically everything from this episode. After the opening credits rolled and I saw "Six Months Later" I knew I was in for something special. It's astonishing to see that here on imdb this episode is very underrated although from a story perspective is one of the best episodes I've seen from House. It has a very intricate story that reveals more as the episode goes along and it pays off in the end. The performances were also great and the way it was filmed at times made it both funny and very interesting. This kind of episodes reminded me of the style of LOST episodes and how those were made (very cleverly by the way) by slowly revealing everything to the audience so that in the end the pay off was great and satisfying. Also by the end of this episodes there will be consequences, and I like that they broke the episodic and they are making a continuing story out of the events of this episode. Overall an extremely great episode that confirms once again that season 2 starts on fire compared to season 1.

    Tricky

In a tricky episode similar to Season One's finale, Chase's "Mistake" may very well cost him his license, House his license, and turn the hospital into condo city. Chase has misdiagnosed a patient's condition, which proves fatal. Now a massive lawsuit looms. Stacy coaches Chase as to what he should tell his board of review. The episode is mostly told in a series of flashbacks and Rashomon-style narratives, and even has a supremely existential moment when Stacy enters House's flashback and House in the present crosses paths with House in the past. The narrative literally begins to curve through time at this point. Definitely worth a look. The Aussie who plays the pretty boy Chase is often underused. Not this time.

    • Trivia
At the beginning of the episode, Kayla's daughters tell her that Sally Ayersman has been teasing them, to which Kayla responds, "If Sally's mean to you again, I'm just gonna have to key her daddy's new convertible." However, later in the episode, House blackmails a surgeon into doing Kayla's liver transplant. The surgeon is a Dr. Ayersman, whose wife, getting an "anonymous" tip about her husband's cheating, decides to key his new convertible. In House's words, "Enough irony for us all."
    • Goofs
At 17:00, When House is explaining his side to Stacy House can be seen wearing a white t-shirt with a beige sport jacket, as his story continues on, it shows House in the clinic talking to Chuck. He is then wearing a black sports jacket with a black t-shirt.

Stacy Warner: What are you hiding?

Dr. Gregory House: [sarcastically] I'm gay. Oh, that's not what you meant. It does explain a lot though. No girlfriend, always with Wilson, obsession with sneakers...
