    Possible Stewart little reference?

Pretty good episode, the back and forth with houses ex wife since she started working at the hospital is pretty entertaining 😜

In this episode whenever Gregory house is looking for a mouse at his ex-wife's house, he gets a phone call. While on the phone the mouse walks right out into the open and stares at him. He grabs his cane to hit the mouse, and the mouse tilts its head staring at him, and that's end scene. This came out in 2005, Stuart Little came out in like 1998 or '99. So I figured this must have been a reference to Stuart Little. 😃

Hugh Laurie played the father on the movie Stuart Little by the way.

Also, I'm no expert, and know it's supposed to be a rat, but that thing looks a lot more like a mouse to me.

    The perfect kind of cringe

This episode is just perfect. Perfect opening, perfect introduction to the patient, perfect ending. I love House being obsessive and manipulative. I love how on one scene he wins 4d chess and on the next one he acts like a dummy and it still somehow feels natural. I love how blatant House is with his ex and how random things keep happening and make the episode so much more enjoyable. There're so many ridiculous, perfectly executed scenes that I had to pause the episode and take the cringe in every couple minutes (this is a compliment).

The actual case and how House does it is meh, but the episode more than makes up with its subplots.

    A fantastic episode...

Dr.House is being stalked by an AIDS positive man (Kalvin), who also happens to be homosexual. As the team delve into the reason behind Kalvin's sudden anaphylactic shock after he fell backwards onto a car, House attempts to get his relationship back on track with Stacy by capturing a rat which has moved into her home. Unbeknownst to Stacy, House has read her file, from her psychologists office, and is doing what he can to subtly separate Stacy and her husband Mark. This is one of my favorite house episodes, partly because of House and his wittiness, and partially because of the rat, who is named Steve McQueen by House. All in all a fantastic episode

    • Trivia
As House and Wilson leave House's apartment, the address sign next to the door reads "221B". House's character is initially based on Sherlock Holmes, whose address was "221B" on Baker Street. In later episodes, the sign reads just 221. Although on Hous his apartment door is a 'B'.
    • Goofs
At 1:22 when House says "I am not treating you," the newspaper held by Kalvin instantly switches from opened to closed.
    • Quotes

Dr. Eric Foreman: It's not 1980. We know how HIV is transmitted. If Kalvin got HIV through unprotected sex, dad has every right to be pissed.

Dr. Allison Cameron: So you always use a condom?

      Dr. Eric Foreman: Uhh... yeah!

Dr. Gregory House: Brothers on the down-low got to.

Dr. Eric Foreman: Huh. Not ready for any Foreman Juniors yet.

Dr. Allison Cameron: [to House] You?

Dr. Gregory House: Working girls are sticklers. You're not going to poll Chase?

      [Cameron looks at him sharply]

Dr. Robert Chase: I'm not an idiot.

Dr. Gregory House: Obviously not. Who doesn't sleep with a drugged-out colleague when they have a chance?
