John Hoyt does a terrific bit of acting in this episode about a fighting man and his meek son that have problems with three brutes. Jeff Mossman (Hoyt) has a farm outside Dodge where him and his son, Pete, live. They have been having trouble with the Dolan brothers that send their cattle over to the Mossman's property to eat. It is not long before the Dolan's visit the Mossman's farm making threats. Meanwhile the son, Pete, is coward down in the house hoping nothing happens.
When a run-in between the two sides happens in Dodge, Jeff is shot in the leg. While Jeff recovers at Doc's office, the brothers take a ride out to the Mossman's farm to have a little visit with Pete. Things are going to heat up in more ways than one.
In an odd twist for a script, the writer actually did not make either family likable by viewer's standards. Both the Doylan's and Jeff Mossman had qualities that were actually more negative than positive. But in the end the viewer will accept the results of the story and be entertained along the way. Good watch.
