Terrific series and also episode

That's a tremendous show I watch since a couple of days now. I don't think it was aired in France, but it should have been. What a series, pulled by outstanding actors and performances. And I don't even speak of the social problems talked about in those different tales; alcohol, unemployment, racism, beaten women, runaway teenagers, molested or retarded children, people with handicap, all kind of problems which many among us could face with. In this story, Georges C Scott is so good as the social worker trying to help the runaway girl to get back to her mom. The girl character is so moving, when she falls for Scott's character, with his "broken nose", as she says... Yes a tremendous series, but unfortunately too short. The kind of topic that I would have imagined for directors such as Sidney Lumet or Daniel Petrie, all specialists of realistic urban social movies.
