The Doctor
- Cassandra (in the Doctor's body): Oh my...! This is... different...
- Rose: Cassandra?
- Cassandra (in the Doctor's body): Goodness me, I'm a man. Yum! So many parts! And hardly used.
- [starts jerking around]
- Cassandra (in the Doctor's body): Ah, ah! Two hearts! Oh baby, I'm beating out a samba!
- Rose: Get out of him!
- Cassandra (in the Doctor's body): Ooh, he's slim... and a little bit foxy. You thought so too; I've been inside your head. You've been looking. You *like* it.
- The Doctor: So the year five billion, the Sun expands, the Earth gets roasted...
- Rose: That was our first date.
- The Doctor: We had chips!
- The Doctor: You were supposed to be dying.
- Face of Boe: There are better things to do today. Dying can wait.
- The Doctor: Strictly speaking, it's the fifteenth New York, which makes it New New New New New New... New New New New New New... New New New York.
- The Doctor: Nice place. But no shop downstairs. I'd have a shop. Not a big one, just a shop so people can shop.
- The Sister: This hospital is a place of healing.
- The Doctor: Well, a shop does some people a world of good. Not me, but other people.
- The Doctor: Ward 26. And watch out for the disinfectant.
- Rose: Watch out for what?
- The Doctor: The *disinfectant*!
- Rose: The what?
- The Doctor: *The disin... * - oh, you'll find out.
- Rose: I don't care, *just do something*!
- Cassandra (in the Doctor's body): Oh, I'm so gonna regret this!
- [she leaves him and enters an infected woman's body]
- Cassandra (in the woman's body): Oh, sweet lord! I look disgusting!
- [about a seriously sick man]
- The Doctor: How on Earth did you cure him?
- Matron Casp: How on *New* Earth, you might say.
- Cassandra (in Rose's body): [unaware Cassandra is inhabiting Rose's body; the Doctor questioned the nurses' secrecy on their miracle medicine] I can't Adam and Eve it.
- The Doctor: What's... What's... What's with the voice?
- Cassandra (in Rose's body): Oh, I don't know, just larking about. New Earth. New me.
- The Doctor: Well, I can talk. New new Doctor.
- [smiles]
- Cassandra (in Rose's body): Mmm, aren't you just?
- [kisses The Doctor playfully; breathing somewhat heavily]
- Cassandra (in Rose's body): T-ter-terminal's this way.
- [walks away, rubbing her neck as if warm]
- The Doctor: [looks at her, disoriented; finally, in squeaky voice] Yep. Still got it.
- Rose Tyler: What's the city called?
- The Doctor: New New York.
- Rose Tyler: Oh, come on.
- The Doctor: It is! It's the city of New New York. Strictly speaking, it's the 15th New York since the original, so I guess that makes it New New New New New New New New New New New New New New New York.
- Matron Casp: All our good work. All that healing. The good name of the Sisterhood. You have destroyed everything!
- Cassandra (in the Doctor's body): Oh, go play with a ball of string!
- Face of Boe: We shall meet again, Doctor, for the third time, for the last time, and the truth shall be told. Until that day...
- [he vanishes]
- The Doctor: That is enigmatic. That is... that is textbook enigmatic.
- Cassandra (in Rose's body): [Cassandra tries to escape out a door only to find her way blocked by the diseased patients; shuts the door and turns to the Doctor panicked] We're trapped! What are we going to do?
- The Doctor: Well, for starters, you're going to leave that body. That psyco-graft is banned on every civilized planet. You're compressing Rose to death!
- Cassandra (in Rose's body): [sounding annoyed] But I've got nowhere to go. My original skin's dead.
- The Doctor: Not my problem. You can float as atoms in the air. Now get out.
- [points his sonic 'screwdriver' at her; anger in his voice]
- The Doctor: Give her back to me!
- The Doctor: [on Rose's mobile] Rose, where are you?
- Cassandra (in Rose's body): [aside to Chip] How does she speak?
- Chip: Old Earth Cockney
- Cassandra (in Rose's body): [on the mobile] Um, Wotcha?
- The Doctor: Where have you been? How long does it take to get to Ward 26?
- Cassandra (in Rose's body): I'm on my way, guvna'. I shall proceed up the apples and pears.
- The Doctor: I am being very, very calm. You want to be aware of that. Very, very calm. And the only reason I'm being so very, very calm is that the brain is a delicate thing.
