I bet he wishes he'd stayed home and had a cup of cocoa.

Sir Lancelot is tasked with rescuing a young woman who's apparently been abducted by ghosts.

My score may seem somewhat generous, but this is my favourite episode so far, I liked the storyline, it had some great characters, and some really nice production values.

Credit to the designers, this looked fantastic, really well imagined and realised, great sets, even better venues.

Trullus, Probus and Bogus all really great characters, Iolta, I'd have left her there. The excellent Gerald Cross was fine here, what a wonderful voice.

Lancelot has a bit more depth here, not just a swordsman and warrior, here he's the diplomat, he's thinking more so with his brain than his sword.

Interest definitely coming from the theory of a United England being a possibility, it's very interesting.

Merlin's wine testing kit, that was a little convenient, I wonder what other tricks he has hiding away.

A fine episode, 7/10.

Roman Wall

This is maximum entertainment. King Boltan's daughter has been abducted by ghostly Romans.

Lancelot investigates and has he clambours over a high wall, he finds out that the Romans are real.

Lancelot has entered the realm of the last Roman outpost in Britannia run by Trullus. Then there is the problem of Boltan's daughter who is reluctant to leave.

It all leads to poisoned wine and a battle with Gogus played by Derry Nesbitt. Lancelot must prove that an attempt was made to poison him.

It is pure hokum, but at least it gave the art director an excuse to put up some Roman sets.
