Predictable but more enjoyable than others

"The Vine of Death" turns out to be one of the more watchable episodes, as archaeologist Frank Dylan (Ingemar Pallin) receives a shipment of 4000 year old calcified bulbs from Malaysia, from a plant known as Mirada, the 'death vine.' Before he has a chance to plant the petrified bulbs in his hothouse, he is accidentally killed by his best friend, Wallace Forten (Larry Falk, also seen in "Green Are the Leaves"), during a struggle over Dylan's wife Terry (Pat Clavin, also seen in "The Black Hand"). She is persuaded not to call the police by Forten, who insists that because she was the one who picked up the knife, she's just as guilty of murder as he is. They decide to bury his corpse in the same place he intended to plant the Mirada, unaware of its attraction to the heat of a human body, winding themselves around humans and strangling them. It ends in predictable fashion yet remains enjoyable (predating a similar story in 1964's "Dr. Terror's House of Horrors"), with host Lon Chaney getting more to do this time around.

Warning: Spoilers
This time 13 Demon Street provides us the amazing story of a biologist whose wife has a relationship with another man, a couple's friend. When our doctor surprises his wife with the friend in question, a struggle occurs and he is accidentally killed by his wife's lover. So, the two decide to hide the doctor's corpse. The biologist who, just before his death, discovered a new kind of plant, of vine. After his death, his disappearance, the police investigates. The cops question the wife and the lover. Till here, nothing really creepy. But when the inspectors are talked about the vines, then the story becomes rather interesting. The police thinks the new plants the victim discovered before his death can be a serious lead to the death...So we, the audience, wonder how the hell these plants can drive the officers to the corpse or, why not, the murderer.

Just watch the last minutes of this episode and you'll get what I mean. Just creepy, as you can't imagine.
