Goofs

Towards the end when the bus with the kids crashes, first you see it totally engulfed in flames but then when they go back to it a minute or two later only the front of the bus is on fire and the rest of the bus is still white and not burned.

(at around 1h 17 mins) After Prof. Wilkes finishes his presentation of his solution to Bormat's Last Theorem, the writing on the blackboard behind him changes.

When Martin & Lorna are at the door of Martin's room they are kissing. As the door opens her top is completely off.

In the next scene they are on the couch and she is also without her top.

However, in the following scene after they fall on the floor, she her removes her top again.

(at around 20 mins) During the camera panning, when Martin is riding his bike and parks it by the fence and passes the tree, the camera cues anew. Martin's arm nearest the camera after he exits the tree does not match the way it was positioned when he entered behind the tree.

Near the end of the film, as Martin & Lorna are ready to board the plane, Martin suddenly finds the folded blank napkin in his passport.

He gets down on the floor and spreads the photos he was keeping on the floor.

As he is looking at the photos, the sound of a jet is heard overhead. Martin looks up to see the plane passing very close directly overhead through the skylight.

Planes departing and arriving at airports do not pass in close proximity to terminals.

Beth is at a music rehearsal when told of her mother's death. She and the other musicians are all dressed in formal performance attire, rather than the casual clothes they would wear to a rehearsal.

At a road crash, any fire would be extinguished before attempts would be made to rescue survivors.

(at around 14 mins) In the classroom scene, Martin announces that he believes in the number pi, and explains that by this he means the golden section, related to the Fibonacci sequence. The goof is that this number is universally referred to as phi, not pi, which is reserved for the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a circle.

Around the 19:35 mark, the filmmakers make a poor attempt to create a "oner" which is a film term meaning a long continuous shot, but there are several edits in the sequence. The man going into the bookstore is the most glaring example of an edit, proving that the entire segment is not a true oner.
