The first trailer for Duster, the new series from J.J. Abrams, has been officially released. The series stars Josh Holloway, who is best known for his role as Sawyer in Lost, alongside Camille Guaty and Sydney Elisabeth. Guaty is famous for her role as Maricruz in Prison Break, and Elisabeth previously appeared on The Last O.G. The series was written and created for television by J.J. Abrams and Latoya Morgan. Abrams is also the creator of Lost, meaning there will be something of a reunion between him and leading star Josh Holloway. He’s also famous for his work writing and directing Star Wars: Episode 7 and 9, The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker. He passed off duties for The Last Jedi to Rian Johnson.
Duster is set in the dusty 1970s Southwest, and it follows a gutsy getaway driver for a budding crime family on dangerous driving jobs.

Mufasa: The Lion King stayed in the domestic theatres more than expected and managed to fetch a decent total for itself at the North American box office. Expectations were really high before the release, but it failed to meet them. Still, it displayed stronger legs and fetched a respectable total at the North American box office by successfully crossing the $250 million mark. Keep reading for a detailed closing collection report!
Reception of the film
The Hollywood magnum opus served as both a sequel and a prequel to 2019’s The Lion King. As The Lion King was a massive success, expectations were sky high for Mufasa. Since 1977, every Star Wars movie to hit movie screens has been a sequel or a prequel, but that's about to change. Star Wars: Starfighter, which just had its release date and title announced at the Star Wars Celebration convention in Chiba, Japan, will be an all-new adventure set in the Star Wars galaxy. Collider's Maggie Lovitt was on the scene as director Shawn Levy discussed the film.
Lev was also able to explain when in the Star Wars universe it takes place, making it the first piece of Star Wars fiction to explore the aftermath of 2019's The Rise of Skywalker.
The movie is a new adventure, it's new characters. It takes place in a new period of time after the Battle of Exegol in Episode 9.
Ryan Gosling, who will star in the film, added that the plot of Star Wars: Starfighter "has so much adventure, so much heart,...

The following contains major spoilers from Doc Season 1, Episode 9, "What Goes Up...," which debuted Tuesday, March 11 on Fox.
Doc Season 1, Episode 9, "What Goes Up..." is on track to be the Fox show's best episode -- until the final few minutes remind viewers of the series' previous shortcomings. The two cases of the week are interesting and well-cast, and the actors do some solid work. But then the script just chooses drama for drama's sake, and it all falls apart.
"What Goes Up..." primarily follows Dr. Amy Larsen on her first day as an actual doctor, since she passed the medical boards again in Season 1, Episode 8, "Man Plans." Amy discovers that her first patient is Tj Coleman's father, while viewers learn the role that Amy played in Tj's past.

Death is often on the line in Sailor Moonbattles, and no hero or villain is totally safe from it, no matter how powerful they are. The first Sailor Moon anime, especially, suffers from a pattern of killing villains just as they're redeemed. Those villains may be mid-tier villains, but they have unique personalities, and many fans feel like their loss is a waste of a likable and useful character.
Even villains who are never redeemed sometimes feel like they're gone too soon. Some of them are defeated all too easily after so much buildup about their strength. Other villains are so minor that they don't last longer than an episode, but they have such great personalities and character design that fans wouldn't mind them sticking around a bit longer.

Sailor Moon left an indelible mark on audiences worldwide, not only for its magical girl adventures but also for its poignant and emotionally charged moments. Throughout its extensive run, the series delivered numerous scenes that tugged at the heartstrings and resonated deeply with fans. From the heartfelt bonds of friendship among the Sailor Scouts to the deep sacrifices made in the name of love and justice, Sailor Moon transcended the limitations of its genre.
The original anime tackled themes of identity, destiny, and the power of love in ways that are both subtle and impactful. Whether it's the heartbreaking farewell between Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask, the stirring resolve of the Sailor Scouts as they stand united against seemingly insurmountable odds, or the tender, quiet moments of reflection and growth, each episode contributed to a rich tapestry of storytelling that continues to captivate audiences today.

Hollywood wasn’t always big on boundaries, and one Marvel star took things way too far. Back in the day, Kim Basinger found herself in a scene that went off-script, and not in a good way. The incident left her physically scarred and shook her to the core.

Did BTS’ J-Hope Buy A New Property In LA? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
In September last year, Korean media outlet BizHankook reported that BTS’ J-Hope had purchased a new home (read penthouse) in a high-end apartment complex in Seoul for 12 billion Krw (approx. 9 million Usd). However, a month later, it was further reported that the singer had also bought the lower floor, along with the penthouse.
This is not the BTS member’s first investment in luxurious real estate. He had done it before buying this penthouse. He previously owned two other high-end properties; now, adding these two, he possesses four residences in Seoul and a property in LA. According to the Korean outlet, it has been reported that J-Hope signed the contract for the lower-floor unit of the penthouse in June 2020 and completed the full payment by July 2024.

Did anyone else expect this to be a different kind of Fire Country episode? I know the promos are meant to incite anticipation, but the one for “My Team” is all lies at this point.
In fact, this episode contained a number of misleads, and while we’ll get to those, there was still a lot about the story that worked.
This season of Fire Country has gone above and beyond to craft better episodic tales that feel less about the shock value and more about how each situation changes the characters.

Hollywood is an industry where art and reality can often have blurred lines, but there are few films that have been accused of pushing the boundaries too much, and one of them is 9 ½ Weeks. The 1986 erotic drama starred Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke and became one of the most controversial films of its time.

I can’t think of anything more tragic than the case on Law & Order: Svu Season 26 Episode 14.

Leave it to Elsbeth to continuously shake things up by diving into various avenues and subgenres of mystery.
Instead of emulating elements of a “howcatchem” or even a “whodunit,” this episode dipped into one of the rarest kinds of mysteries: the “whydunit.”
While “subtle” is not a word most people would use to describe Elsbeth, that’s exactly how it worked in a case where the main mystery was the killer’s motivation.
(Michael Parmelee/CBS)
The more the case was cracked open, the less sense it made that Jordana Brewster’s Chloe would kill the victim. That is, until it was clear how much her character cared for the billionaire.

As much as I love Cooper crossovers on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, I wasn’t looking forward to this one.
Dead people appearing on TV shows usually mean either a dream sequence or some type of ridiculous ghostly visit

If Bex was confused about where her loyalties lay before, now she’s even more torn, and this week’s serial killer only makes that worse.
Spoilers for The Hunting Party Season 1 Episode 5 tease that the team races to stop Roy Barber, known as the Couples Killer, who is obsessed with his victims and love.
(David Astorga/NBC)
Naturally, they uncover something new and sinister about him, so they must adapt their plan to catch this menacing killer. That may include Bex and one of the guys posing as a couple to lure him into a trap.
Additionally, Bex is reeling from what she learned at Oliver’s storage locker. She had no idea he communicated with Sam, so she must process that and discern how it affects her relationship with Oliver.

Love it or loathe it, J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series of books, films, and games has taken the 21st century by storm and may very well be its defining media for the next generation. Published in 1997, the series is one of the best-selling fictional works of all time and has been adapted into eight successful movies, dozens of video games, and toys, clothes, and house affiliations for dating applications.
Now, with HBO re-adapting The Wizarding World, fans will once again be thrown into the world of wizards, witches, and nocturnal birds delivering daytime mail. While the series will have its challenges adapting an already all-too-familiar tale, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone director Chris Columbus thinks an episodic re-telling would benefit the series.

Justin Spitzer's irreverent, beautifully weird workplace comedy "Superstore," which ran from 2015 to 2021, shared some traits with other popular "office" sitcoms like "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "Parks and Recreation," and, well, "The Office" — if any of those shows had a running gag about finding severed feet in their respective workplaces, that is. So why did the show end after its sixth season?
The answer is both simple and complicated if I'm being honest; a major star made the choice to leave the series behind for new opportunities, and a global pandemic put a damper on pretty much all human interaction and work for a while. Let's back up for one moment, though. "Superstore," true to its name, takes place in a fictional big-box store called Cloud 9 — which certainly bears some similarities to Targets and Walmarts across the country — and in a particular branch in St. Louis, Missouri that happens to be...

Warning: contains spoilers for X-Men #9Marvel Comics has been teasing the mysterious "Inmate X" identity for months now, with most fans assuming that the mutant prisoner would be none other than former X-Men leader Charles Xavier. However, X-Men #9 has finally revealed that Inmate X is not Xavier, launching a whole new set of fan theories on whom it could be, with this bewildering mutant most likely playing a major role in an upcoming X-Men story.
The mystery of Inmate X was deepened when, in X-Men #9, Xavier used his powers to control Psylocke, manipulating her and Nightcrawler into freeing him from Graymalkin Prison, after which he reveals that he is in fact not Inmate X.
X-Men #9, from writer Jed MacKay and artist Federico Vicentini, sees Juggernaut readying himself to break out Inmate X from Graymalkin - a mutant prison run by Dr. Corina Ellis with the help...

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has the opportunity to become the very definition of Star Trek on Paramount+ in 2025. After a 2 year delay caused by the combined SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 will finally premiere on Paramount+ in 2025. Strange New Worlds returns to a drastically different landscape since season 2 bowed out in 2023, as the prequel series about Captain Christopher Pike's (Anson Mount) USS Enterprise is now the only Star Trek on Paramount+ series scheduled for 2025.
The changing nature of the streaming business and the sale of Paramount Global to Skydance led to Paramount+ ending four of the five Star Trek series that began with Star Trek: Discovery in 2017. Along with Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Prodigy, and Star Trek: Lower Decks have all wrapped on Paramount+. However, along with Michelle Yeoh's Star Trek: Section 31 streaming movie, Strange New Worlds benefits by having 2025 all...

The Straw Hat Pirates have some of the most powerful and plentiful allies in One Piece, to the point where many would heed Luffy's call to arms if asked to do so, and now that the Straw Hats are a Yonko group, their influence over the Grand Line stretches further than most pirate groups. Unlike other Yonko, Luffy has made an almost endless list of allies and friends through his adventures, many of whom are some of the strongest characters in the shōnen.
Luffy will continue to grow his list of allies as the Straw Hats inch closer to Laugh Tale, but some of their strongest friends have proved their strength as allies on countless occasions. The strongest is quite a subjective term in the case of One Piece characters, especially when devil fruits are involved. Some devil fruit eaters aren't exactly the most powerful on the Grand Line,...

Dragon Ball Daima has given fans of Vegeta reason to celebrate. In Episode 12, "True Strength," the Saiyan Prince finally acquires the Super Saiyan 3 transformation. This may not be the most powerful version of Vegeta ever, but he's still an absolute force to be reckoned with.
Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta is finally canon, and he's capable of defeating some of the strongest characters in the Dragon Ball multiverse. Based on the events of Daima and Dbz's Buu Saga, it can be assumed that he's roughly on par with Super Saiyan 3 Goku. He may not have Super Saiyan Blue or Ultra Ego, but Daima's Vegeta could still lay waste to many of Dragon Ball Super's toughest fighters.

In its long, long history, Doctor Who has naturally had numerous spinoffs, but not all of those spinoffs are created equal, with some being far superior to the rest. The universe continues to expand, too, with another Doctor Who spinoff, The War Between the Land and the Sea, having wrapped filming and set for release in 2025. The story will follow the battle between Unit and old Doctor Who foe the Sea Devils. It's just one of many Doctor Who spinoffs planned in the next few years.
With a franchise as sprawling as Doctor Who, the continuity issue of what's canon and what's not is incredibly messy. Spinoffs, tie-ins, non-canonical series, mini webisodes, radio plays, and more have all added to the lore, and it's not always clear what's considered official canon – in the case of Doctor Who, with its wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey nature, it could all be considered part of the lore.

Elijah Wood starred in Shane Acker's animated feature 9 in 2009, which was largely made possible by Tim Burton. Following Wood's lead performance as Frodo Baggins in the groundbreaking The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the renowned actor appeared in several films such as Sin City, Paris, Je T'aime, and Happy Feet. Wood went on to star in the celebrated FX comedy series Wilfred and recently appeared in the second season of the Emmy-nominated series Yellowjackets.
Burton has created several notable animated movies over his career. He was a screenwriter on animated classics such as The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach and directed Corpse Bride and Frankenweenie. Burton recently directed the massively popular Netflix series Wednesday, which returns for its second season in 2025, and the highly anticipated Beetlejuice sequel, which is now streaming on HBO/Max. If it weren't for Burton's efforts with 9, the film may have never been made.

Summer House season 9 will be coming to Bravo in the new year, and with the cast’s relationships looking incredibly different than the previous season’s premiere, things will be shifting in the new season. While Summer House season 8 introduced viewers to some new faces, like West Wilson who was able to bring in some interesting drama, the show has been reliant on some of its usual suspects to provide drama throughout the last few seasons. After Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s relationship crumbled throughout Summer House season 8, things were tense and uncomfortable during the season’s high-pressure reunion episodes.
Although Summer House season 9 will capture a moment for the cast members, things are still shifting and moving in real-time within their relationships. After Lindsay and Carl’s breakup, things changed for the Summer House cast members who were doing their best to stay on one side or the other.

After four years on the air and 50 episodes under its belt, "Star Trek: Lower Decks" finally signs off this week with a series finale that's as epic and exciting as anything the series has ever done. "Lower Decks" has had a rocky road to its moment of triumph; the show's adult humor and gentle ribbing of past "Trek" properties rubbed some traditionalists the wrong way before it even started, and many fans spent its first few seasons judging whether or not the show had properly proven itself as a piece of "Trek" canon.
But "Lower Decks" never wanted to be just like other "Star Trek" shows. The series is wackier than most of its predecessors, and lighter, too. In most cases, it forgoes Gene Roddenberry-style moralizing in favor of fun, bite-sized escapades, jokey commentary on the vast world of "Star Trek," and adventures that specifically benefit from its animated medium.

The HBO series Sex and the City is remembered as a show about women navigating dating in their 30s in New York, but the best episodes of Sex and the City are about much more than that. The series follows Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Samantha (Kim Cattrall) as they balance their careers, friendships, and romantic relationships. Because they are all in their 30s when the original series takes place, the show navigates a lot of adult milestones, like career setbacks, marriage, and having children.
Where Sex and the City truly flourishes is in its showcase of female friendships as they navigate their own lives. The four women at the center of their show have their own storylines, their own romances, and their own conflicts to overcome, but they are there for one another when it counts. They go out to have a good time,...

Kicking off his career with various television roles in the early 1960s, Alan Oppenheimer would go on to have a prolific career over six decades, still working to this day, though his output as an actor has slowed down considerably over the years. Oppenheimer's career really took off in the '70s, and his notable credits include Westworld in 1973 and The Six Million Dollar Man, which premiered in the same year.
Although Oppenheimer has several credits in live-action shows and movies, it was his prolific voice-acting career that helped cement him as one of the best animated actors of all time. Oppenheimer has lent his talents to a variety of projects over the years, including voicing iconic characters in some of the most influential animated shows of all time. His work as Skeletor is a particular standout, but only the tip of the iceberg that is Alan Oppenheimer's monumental career.

Since Survivor first premiered in the year 2000, fans of Jeff Probst's beloved reality show have been captivated by things like heartbreaking medical evacuations. After its debut in November 2014, Cartoon Network's Over the Garden Wall quickly became a critically acclaimed fan-favorite animation miniseries. The story follows half-brothers Wirt (Elijah Wood) and Gregory (Collin Dean), who find themselves on a journey through a dark, whimsical forest known simply as "The Unknown." The fantasy drama has a very similar animation style to beloved series like Regular Show, another staple of Cartoon Network.
In honor of the miniseries' recent 10th anniversary, Cartoon Network released a new Over the Garden Wall stop-motion short to pay homage to the beloved tale. While Over the Garden Wall's story is brief, it is packed with substance, beautiful imagery, and a fairy-tale ambiance that's hard to beat. It's clear that the show took inspiration from many other works and influenced projects that came after it. Although Over the Garden Wall ended after one season, several other movies and TV series have a similar feel.
