Unlike some celebrities whose careers fizzle out after a few years, actor Meagan Good has had a long-lasting acting career that spans over two decades. Good first got her start in television in the early 1990s before landing a main role in Nickelodeon's sitcom "Cousin Skeeter," which lasted from 1998 to 2001.
Throughout the 2000s, Good appeared in a number of popular films, like "Deliver Us From Eva," "Roll Bounce," and "Stomp the Yard," to name a few. In recent years, Good is most recognized for her role as Mya in the "Think Like a Man" films and Camille in the Prime Video series "Harlem."
While the actor has maintained a busy schedule over the years, she's also found time for romances here and there. Though her official list of boyfriends is short, most recently, she was married to DeVon Franklin for nearly 10 years. They announced their separation in December 2021.

Director Malcolm D. Lee has several films in his filmography that authentically capture Black American experiences. For years movies like The Best Man, Roll Bounce, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, and more recently Girls Trip, have showcased a wide range of Blackness on the big screen.
His newest project, Space Jam: A New Legacy, is no different. The LeBron James-led film takes elements from its predecessor and makes them feel familiar and refreshing at the same time. At its core, the movie is built around a relatable story about a Black father and son who are still learning from each other. The focus on the nuances of their relationship – even though the movie is set in this cartoony and outrageous world – is what makes New Legacy a Malcolm D. Lee film.
We recently spoke to the director about how he approached Space Jam: A New Legacy and hopes the movie will resonate with audiences.

“The Masked Singer” semi-final on May 13 sees the four remaining celebrities fighting for the three slots in next week’s final. Based on our best guess as to the real identity of the Frog, we think that he is likely to make the top three. Also in the hunt are a trio of other famous folk competing as the Night Angel, Rhino and Turtle.
The Frog got the jump on his competition in last week’s quarter-final with his cover of “Bust a Move” by Young Mc. The clues he dropped then and throughout the season as well his answers to judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke have us convinced we know the name of the princely fellow who is disguised as this amphibian.

From director Malcolm D. Lee (The Best Man, Roll Bounce, Undercover Brother) comes Scary Movie 5, which will see several real-life *troubled* celebs make fun of themselves (like Katt Williams, Lindsay Lohan, Mike Tyson, Heather Locklear and Charlie Sheen) in a continuation of the popular spoof franchise. Malcolm D. Lee directed Scary Movie 5 from a script penned by David Zucker, who wrote and directed the last 2 installments of the franchise. Zucker and Lee are producers for Dimension Films. This will be Lee's first film since 2008, and, which, as the trailers we've seen have shown, looks to be loaded...

Two things you probably didn’t expect to hear about the Scary Movie franchise: the fifth movie has a new trailer — and it doesn’t really spoof anything.
Ok, yes, the movie’s story does send-up Mama (two heathen children adopted by a smiling white couple), with dashes of found footage, Evil Dead, and a sequence featuring Honey Boo Boo in a box. And…that’s it: In the more than two minute-long trailer, the references keep circling back to those earlier films. The heathen children are mistaken for lesbian lovers. The exorcist the family hires is actually a black con man.

Two new actresses have been added to the upcoming sixth season of HBO's True Blood.
Amelia Rose Blaire will play Willa Burrell, daughter of the governor of Louisiana. The two do not see eye-to-eye on the vampire rights issue (I have to assume she is "for.") Blaire's few credits have been mostly guest roles on shows like Grimm, 90210, Touch, and The Glades.
Jurnee Smollett will play Nicole Wright, an idealist who is always looking to do what is right. Smollett's credits include Eve's Bayou, Roll Bounce, and Friday Night Lights. Smollett will join as a regular, while Blaire will be a recurring character with the option to become a regular.

When news surfaced in August that Eddie Murphy and Shawn Ryan (creator of "Last Resort" and "The Shield") had sold a TV adaptation of "Beverly Hills Cop" to CBS, the big question was who would star in the show. Murphy, who's acting as executive producer, is also committed to reprise his role as Axel Foley in the pilot and in occasional episodes to follow, should the project get picked up to series, but the focus of the show is on Axel's son, who heads to Beverly Hills to get out from under the shadow of his father, now Detroit's chief of police. Another day, another schedule for the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con. Next up is Day 3 - Saturday, July 14th - which is just about as chock-full of events for the horror crowd as Friday the 13th!
As always, our focus is the horror panels, but included are a few others that we think will be of interest as well. Remember that times and participants are subject to change so keep your eyes on the official Sdcc site for updates. And hopefully they'll provide a fix soon for the Sdcc smartphone app - in years past it's been extremely helpful.
10:00-11:00 Comic-Con How-To: Anatomy of a Fight Scene, Part One— Stories are about conflict, and there is no purer form of conflict than a good ol' fisticuffs-style brawl-or sword fight, laser battle, western shootout, or even two chicks pulling each other's hair. How do you put that much action down on...

We've known that another Scary Movie was on the way for a couple of months now, but I haven't heard a single person say they're excited about seeing it. Undercover Brother and Roll Bounce director Malcolm Lee is directing the next entry into the spoof franchise, but series star Anna Faris wisely won't be coming back for this installment. Now ComingSoon reports the Weinstein Company has hired High School Musical actress Ashley Tisdale as their new blonde star to crack out-of-date jokes about pop culture hot topics in Scary Movie 5. This one sounds more like a Black Swan parody than a traditional horror spoof, though. Easily the most interesting thing about this movie was the leaked plot synopsis that sounded more like it parodied dance movies than horror films, with storylines and characters similar to those in Black Swan playing a key part in the description. I loved Black Swan,...

In what is likely to be considered the single most important news story of the day, we now have some plot details (such as they are) for the highly anticipated fifth film in the Scary Movie franchise, the cleverly titled Scary Movie 5.
According to Variety, The Weinstein Co.'s Scary Movie 5, which comes more than six years after the last installment, spoofs recent thrillers such as Black Swan, Paranormal Activity, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and 127 Hours.
Malcolm Lee (Roll Bounce, Undercover Brother) will direct Scary Movie 5 with production slated to begin this summer. Casting is under way, but David Zucker, who wrote and directed both Scary Movie 3 and 4, will also be returning to co-write and produce the fifth installment alongside Lee.

It was recently confirmed that Malcolm Lee (Undercover Brother, Roll Bounce) was hired to direct "Scary Movie 5," which is set to hit theaters on January 11th, 2013. Production is set to begin this June, but it looks like Anna Faris will not be reprising her role. To get ready for the shoot, Dimension Films is looking for actors. As a result, the studio has put out a casting call, which also revealed the official plot synopsis for the new film, which sounds exactly like "Black Swan." Plot: The story in "Scary Movie 5" involves the dance world, with a snooty, aloof, imperious, and oversexed French director of a dance company named Pierre putting on a huge production. Jody, a Caucasian late-20's mother of two and her late-20's African American friend Kendra are both vying for the lead in the production. Jody's extremely controlling former dancer mother is determined...

About two weeks ago, it was reported that Malcolm Lee (Undercover Brother, Roll Bounce) was hired to direct "Scary Movie 5" that's set to hit theaters on January 11th, 2013. Production is set to begin this summer with Anthony Anderson, Regina Hall and Kevin Hart all in talks to return. But despite that Anna Faris has stated several times that she would love to play Cindy Campbell again, it appears that the studio is not interested in bringing her back. "No, I don't think I'm going to do it," she told ComingSoon during a press conference for "The Dictator." "I don't think I'm part of that. I don't know exactly what's happening with it." Until we get an official cast announcement, it's tough to say who will end up starring in the film. But it would incredibly odd to simply cut a lead character out of a franchise without letting her...

Actress Anna Faris has long been a staple in the Scary Movie franchise. No matter how bad they got she was always there front and center with a big smile on her face. So will she be in the recently announced Scary Movie 5? It sure doesn't sound like it.

The comedic artform of spoofs have been taking a drubbing over the past decade and change, thanks mostly to the work of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, who through their body of work (Disaster Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, etc.) have turned what was once a clever style into one where the punchlines are nothing more than cultural references. But despite their reign of terror, there has been one spoof franchise that has managed to maintain at least a semblance of quality: Scary Movie. Four installments in and they continue to be the best spoofs made in Hollywood, a distinction that is probably not all that great considering what they’re up against but it’s still worth mentioning. But as a spoof addict/masochist like myself, a new Scary Movie is like a sigh of relief.

I honestly thought they were done with this franchise, but it appears that the Scary Movie series is still going strong. Entertainment Weekly reports that director Malcolm Lee, Spike Lee's cousin, is going to be behind the camera for the next installment of the long-running spoof franchise. Malcolm has directed a few films before, notably Undercover Brother, Roll Bounce, and his most recent effort, 2008's Soul Men. Lee will write and produce Scary Movie 5 alongside series stalwart David Zucker, and production is slated to being this summer. The sequel already has a January 11th, 2013 release date carved into the calendar. Looks like they're moving quickly on this one, trying to remain in the public consciousness after the most recent Scream film hit theaters last year. I'd like to think that society has moved past considering these movies comedies, though they were always better than the uninspired spin-offs Superhero Movie,...

Today in “I’m sorry, what?” sequel news, Deadline Greendale reports that Universal Pictures has decided to go ahead with a sequel to 1999′s The Best Man. As if that news was not already somewhat bizarre enough (or at least flat-out unexpected), the Deadliners seem to think this is in direct response to the studio’s desire for a Bridesmaids sequel, a quest that has apparently left the Universal executives so desperate for a wedding-based property that they’ve thrown dry rice at their entire library of nuptial-themed flicks and given a sequel greenlight to whichever one collected the most grains. Apparently. No matter what the process was for the studio to pick this particular film for another go-round, they’ve reportedly set the film’s original writer and director, Malcolm D. Lee (Undercover Brother, Roll Bounce, and Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins), to write, direct, and produce the sequel. Lee seems set on bringing back the film...
