On April 7, Madonna revealed that she and her fellow musical icon, Elton John, have “finally” moved past their differences.
Madonna and John have been locked in a two-decade feud that started in 2002 when John dissed Madonna’s James Bond theme “Die Another Day.” Over the years, John made multiple digs at Madonna and her songs, even accusing her of lip-syncing in his 2004 awards acceptance speech. At the 2012, Golden Globes John’s “Hello Hello” from the movie Gnomeo & Juliet was up against Madonna’s track “Masterpiece” from W.E.. On the red carpet ahead of the awards, John told reporters that Madonna “didn’t stand a f—ing chance.” Madonna ended up winning.
Madonna has recently been in the news with her relationship with her 38-year-old boyfriend, soccer player Akeem Morris.
On Monday, Madonna captioned a photo of her and John, “We finally Buried the Hatchet!!!”

Ozzy Osbourne once had the chance to audition for Pirates of the Caribbean, but Sharon Osbourne prevented it from happening. Speaking on The Magnificent Others With Billy Corgan podcast, she admitted that she turned down the opportunity, a decision she now regrets.
“Do you want to know the biggest mistake I ever made with Ozzy?” she said. “He got offered to go and read for Pirates of the Caribbean—and I’ve never said this to anyone.”
Billy Corgan reacted with surprise, asking if she had refused the offer. Sharon confirmed, saying, “I said no. Now, wouldn’t he have been perfect?”
She pointed out that Johnny Depp had brought Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones into the franchise as Captain Teague, Jack Sparrow’s father. Corgan joked that there was still time for Ozzy to take on a film role.
The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has generated over $4.5 billion worldwide.

Ozzy Osbourne once had a chance to join the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Sharon Osbourne was a guest on a recent episode of The Magnificent Others With Billy Corgan podcast, where she revealed that her husband was offered to read for the film, and she regrets stopping it.
“Do you want to know the biggest mistake I ever made with Ozzy?” Sharon said to the host before adding, “He got offered to go and read for Pirates of the Caribbean — and I’ve never said this to anyone.”

As January wraps up, Hulu is keeping the momentum going with an impressive lineup of new titles next month. Whether you’re into movies, TV shows, or both, there’s plenty to keep you entertained throughout February.
Hulu is starting strong with over 60 new titles arriving on February 1 alone. Some standout additions include Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2, as well as all four seasons of the classic ’90s drama New York Undercover.
Reality TV fans will also have something to look forward to with the season six premiere of The Kardashians.
But as exciting as the new arrivals are, there’s always the bittersweet reality that some beloved titles are leaving. In February, Hulu will only be removing movies, so TV lovers can breathe easy. However, the list of departing films includes some good titles, like Titane (2021) and Spencer (2021), which earned Kristen Stewart an Oscar nomination.

Say goodbye to those New Year greetings and memes, because February is almost here. Time to really sink our teeth into 2025 and how it’ll look, and of course that means beefing up your watchlist. As always the libraries of Hulu and Disney+ (and multiple available bundles) are here to help, with new shows and movies (both family friendly and… a little unfriendly) available to stream.
Along with ongoing episodes of “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,” Disney+ will debut all of “Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” Season 2 and plenty of other great titles for young viewers. “The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl” special will recapture the magic of a live performance, and “Harlem Ice” follows a girls’ figure skating team through their competitive season.

Jason Statham has had a truly storied career. The 57-year-old actor has seen his fair share of blockbusters and has been handed the keys to franchises of his own. Best known for his action roles, he starred in a variety of movies, including The Italian Job (2003), The Expendables (2010), and Furious 7 (2015). In a world in which Hollywood has seen a decline in star-focused movies, he has continued to endure with a surprisingly impactful career. He has enjoyed spin-offs from central franchises, exciting adventure movies, and stunning action sequences rivaled only by Tom Cruise movies.
Statham's career has not always been one of stardom and box office draw, of course. One of his earliest projects saw him as a supporting character in a relatively unknown movie. It disappointed in the box office and failed to entertain increasingly angry critics. While Statham has certainly managed to push past that mediocre appearance, the...

Although he has now retired from acting, Michael Caine's impact on the movie industry cannot be overstated. As a working actor for the better part of eight decades, Caine became one of the most well-established actors in British history, with roles spanning from early British cinema to modern American blockbusters. Even the most casual film viewers could easily identify the actor's signature voice or might even recognize him from a leading role or one of his many supporting roles in Christopher Nolan's filmography.
With such a jam-packed career, it can be hard to gauge what films Michael Caine truly allowed to soar, and any list is bound to leave out a few of his most impactful works. Of course, not everything Caine appeared in was a cinematic masterpiece — quite the contrary. But in his best roles, Caine added a cherry on top to a phenomenal film, and in the worst instances,...

Jason Statham is the star of the outlandish shark movie The Meg, but this is still not the silliest movie he has ever been in. This is on account of Gnomeo & Juliet existing — Disney's whimsical tale that takes inspiration from William Shakespeare's famous play, Romeo and Juliet. The 2011 motion picture is an innovative modern Shakespeare adaptation that retells the complicated story in a way that is engaging for younger viewers. The Meg may truly embrace the absurdity of its plot and defy the laws of logic, but Gnomeo & Juliet is not what audiences expected from Disney's animated movie.
With a star-studded cast, Gnomeo & Juliet turns a silly premise into something hilarious and extremely heartfelt. The comical overtones of the movie are enhanced by Gnomeo & Juliet's soundtrack, which exclusively features songs from Sir Elton John's legendary repertoire, connecting the classic tale to Disney's modern adaptation.

Quick Links Jason Statham Had Six Consecutive Flops Before The Expendables 2 How The Expendables 2 Restored His Winning Streak
When it comes to action films, stars like Keanu Reeves or Tom Cruise may come to mind first, but Jason Statham is arguably as well-known in the genre. Beginning with the Transporter trilogy, the actor has been renowned for his effortlessly cool-looking martial arts and has been in numerous other successful action franchises, including The Expendables, Crank, Fast & Furious, and The Mechanic.
Having said that, most people are unaware that, despite his unrivaled success in the Transporter films, Statham experienced a long, exhausting descent in his career during the early 2010s, when six of his movies flopped in succession. Nonetheless, he rose from the ashes to reestablish himself as the action king, eventually appearing in some of the most entertaining films, including Spy, Fast & Furious, and The Beekeeper. Jason Statham is an exciting action star known for his work in The Expendables and Fast & Furious franchises. While hes known as an action star, hes proven his ability to do comedy in Spy and voice work in Gnomeo & Juliet. But, one major thing is missing from his filmography: television. Since the late 1990s, Jason Statham has built an impressive career filled with action thrillers and unforgettable franchises, so it is surprising that his highest-rated movie of all time also holds this notable record. Although Statham is likely a household name by now, the English actor worked hard to become such a staple of Hollywood. After Statham collaborated with people like Guy Ritchie and took on role after role in early 2000s action movies, he became a must-have actor in any action project. When considering his career, Statham has seen some tried and true success.
Of Statham's many films, his highest-rated project is a movie called Spy. Released in 2015, the movie follows Statham as Rick Ford, an arrogant CIA spy who protests when a chronically desk-bound agent, decides to take on a dangerous and important mission. The film was a major success with critics, earning a Certified Fresh 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Disneys Gnomeo & Juliet was such a strange movie that was the last thing that I expected from a film starring James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Jason Statham, and plenty of other famous actors and celebrities. Marking Touchstone Pictures first animated movie since The Nightmare Before Christmas, Gnomeo & Juliet was released in 2011 and was a box office success. The film made $193.9 million at the box office on a $36 million budget, having been distributed by Disney with a theatrical release.
Gnomeo & Juliet follows the plot of William Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet play but with gnomes in neighboring gardens in Shakespeares English hometown, Stratford-upon-Avon. The film was a clever movie adaptation of Shakespeares play, making it more accessible for younger audiences to follow the famous playwrights work. I particularly enjoyed the movies distinctive house division marked via the color of the gnomes, and Gnomeo & Juliets soundtrack, which heavily featured Elton John's songs.

Hulk Hogan's reality TV career initially thrived, but it quickly spiraled due to personal struggles and legal issues. Hogan's affair with his daughter's best friend contributed to the downfall of his marriage, not reality TV. Following his struggles, Laila Ali's unexpected phone call helped Hogan rethink his life choices and saved him from despair.
Despite the ups and downs, Hulk Hogan maintains a solid net worth today, in large part, thanks to a lawsuit against Gawker. In truth, following his divorce from Linda Hogan, it seemed like Hulk's financial situation was hitting a downward spiral. That matched with the end of his journey on reality TV.
His VH1 journey actually got off to a promising start. Hogan Knows Best had solid ratings, and was ahead of its time. However, after just two seasons, the show was off the air and the damage was so bad there was no turning back.

Statham's deadpan delivery and willingness to embrace absurdity make him a standout in the world of action-comedy films.
Jason Statham is mostly known for his action-packed roles in iconic crime movies, but he also has a well-balanced comedy filmography, featuring several standout films. Gnomeo & Juliet is a Disney film that cleverly uses Elton John's songs to add nostalgic charm and enhance themes of love and conflict. The soundtrack is carefully chosen to complement specific scenes, from upbeat numbers for playful moments to soulful melodies for emotional scenes. The Gnomeo & Juliet soundtrack is as much a character in the movie as the gnomes themselves, providing a bridge between the classic tale and its animated adaptation.
Gnomeo & Juliet, a delightful and whimsical animated film, offers a fresh, garden-centric twist on Shakespeare's timeless tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, with significant help from the Gnomeo & Juliet soundtrack. The 2011 movie captures the hearts of both young and old audiences through its unique portrayal of star-crossed lovers, here represented as garden gnomes from rival families. What sets Gnomeo & Juliet apart, aside from its vibrant animation, is its exceptional soundtrack, which plays a pivotal role...

If there is cinematic butt to be kicked, rest assured that Jason Statham will be at the front of the line. Since he burst onto the scene in Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998, he’s left a lot of broken bodies and wrecked cars in his wake. And when Expendables 4 rolls out on September 20, he will be nearing his 50th film, the lion’s share being unapologetic explosive action.
Statham makes movies with staying power. He’s made four Expendables films, three Transporters, two Mechanics (2011 and 2016), tw0 Cranks (2006 and 2009) and two Megs (2018 and 2023). Oh, yes, he also jumped into the Fast and Furious universe, making Furious 7 (2015), The Fate of the Furious (2017), Fast X (2023) and the spinoff Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw (2019), teaming with Dwayne Johnson.
As a leading man, his films have delivered $1.8 billion worldwide, according to The Numbers.

A good movie premise can draw audiences into a story regardless of how much or little they know about the film itself. Animated movies are specifically known for their imaginative topics that almost always delve into make-believe. But sometimes these animated features think a little too outside the box, and they concoct an idea that's downright bizarre.
A concept that is overly strange runs the risk of making a story nonsensical. At worst, these premises can distract from the film's crucial foundations, such as character development and a coherent three-act structure. While animated flicks like Bee Movie and Flushed Away still manage to create an entertaining end product, others like 9 and Gnomeo & Juliet are too unusual to offer any long-lasting value.

With its list of new releases for July 2023, Prime Video is going to help you stay safe from the oppressive July sun.
Highlighting the Amazon Originals on the TV side this month are two heavy hitters. The first is The Horror of Dolores Roach on July 7. Based on a podcast of the same name, this series could best be described as a modern day Sweeney Todd? Why, you ask? Well you know why. Think about it. Then season 2 of Neil Gaiman adaptation Good Omens premieres on July 28. This season will follow angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tenant) as they seek to keep the Archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm) away from both heaven and hell.
There aren’t any Amazon Original movies of note this month and that’s alright as the influx of library titles is more than enough. July 1 sees the arrival of The 40-Year-Old Virgin, No Country for Old Men,...

Chances are, you don’t think of Gnomeo & Juliet very often. An animated feature technically hailing from Disney but released through its Touchstone Pictures division in February 2011, the project’s premise is apparent from the title. It’s Romeo & Juliet, but this time told through feuding garden gnomes. It’s the kind of undemanding animated kid’s movie that tends to get dropped in the first two months of a given year. Given that there are no other family-friendly titles dropping at this time of the year, these projects tend to make a little bit of money before vanishing quickly from the pop culture radar.

Per Deadline, Sony is developing a feature adaptation of the Dutch short film Gnomes by Richard Raaphorst and Ruwan Heggelman. There is currently no director attached, but Levy is on hand to produce alongside his 21 Laps cohorts Dan Cohen and Dan Levine. Ozzy Osbourne, the Godfather of Metal, may be most famous for his legendary contributions to the music genre, but the Prince of Darkness has also acted in a handful of movies. He's far from the first rock star to do so, but his choice of roles prove his sense of humor and knack for camp. Folks may recognize him from his cameos in comedies like "Austin Powers in Goldmember" and "Little Nicky," or voice cameos in "Gnomeo & Juliet" and "Trolls 2: World Tour," but earlier on he appeared in the lesser-known 1986 heavy metal horror film "Trick or Treat."
Not to be confused with the 2007 Halloween-themed anthology "Trick 'r Treat," "Trick or Treat" is a tongue-in-cheek relic of a time when conservative commentators were denouncing metal music as a serious threat to the public order. The latest in our series of writers sticking up for maligned movies is a defence of the Arnie-free alien sequel
Predator is a bona fide classic of science fiction. Predator 2 is, by most accounts, utter trash – one of countless sequels from the late 80s and early 90s that live in the shadow of their predecessor. Yet such is the way that the predator has been tarnished by almost every film that has come since, Predator 2 stands up as one of the creature’s best outings. Stephen Hopkins’s film stands up well to repeat viewings and is far less dumb than it first appears. It has its dumb moments but still has more brains behind the brawn than it receives credit for.

“His Dark Materials” star James McAvoy is set to narrate a new reality competition show for U.K. broadcaster Channel 4, in which a group of strangers is tasked with building a bridge to reach an island.
“The Bridge” marks one of the first unscripted endeavors for the “Split” actor, whose voice work spans feature films such as “Gnomeo & Juliet” and “Watership Down.” McAvoy will narrate all five episodes of the show, which sees 12 strangers come together in the British countryside to win £100,000.
However, the prize lies out of reach on an island 250 meters away from where the contributors are based, and to reach it, they must work together to build the bridge in 20 days. If the group successfully works as a team and reaches the cash before the deadline, overcoming various twists in the process, each will get a vote on who they think is the most deserving of the prize.
