...for a yakuza boss story. I understand that is kind of a condensed story, but is too "Sixties naif" type of movies; like the musical film "The sound of music". Not that this one is a musical but all was taken too light. Several big fights occur to show how this future big boss did his reputation however after and at the same time no concerns by the implicated ones; just like to take another walk at the park in a Sunday afternoon; C'mon! Kind of sloppy and disjointed in some cuts and parts of the plots. Well, nothing good to say?
Yes, the music and color is good. The main actors are good too, the couple secondary rolls are a bit over acted but are OK for the fun of the movie. This other thing, the fun factor is right for a Sunday movie, for example.
-All the girls here are very (too much)servile to the men. I (and possibly all us do not know) do not know if that was the case in these ancient times or is just what the people wanted to watch some 50 years ago in the movie theaters.
No doubt that was a matinée movie. I put 4 only for the chambara and fun factors.
