Two people are seen drinking from a bottle of sake (a Japanese alcoholic beverage). However, it is being done for spiritual purposes, not drug-related ones.
It is mentioned that a man has severe drinking problems and has even vomited on some occasions. However, he is never shown doing so in the film.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

Moderate

Overall, some people, particularly adults of western audiences, may not find the film to be very frightening compared to the American Remake, and may even find the horror to be dated. However, some scenes may still be creepy and disturbing, especially for children and viewers at the time of it's release.
When compared to other sequels and American remakes, some viewers might not find the ghosts to be that scary.
