The series about the lives of high school students ran for exactly ten years – from 1990 to 2000. The most successful seasons of Beverly Hills, 90210 were watched by 14.5 million viewers in the US alone, and by the same number of fans around the world.
During this time, the main characters evolved from shallow high school students to complex personalities, dealing not only with common teenage problems, but also with more serious issues such as alcoholism and domestic violence.
Despite the fact that the main characters became world famous, Beverly Hills, 90210 was the first and last major project for most of the cast.

Tori Spelling began acting in the early 1980s, but her real breakthrough came on Beverly Hills, 90210, which was produced by her father, Aaron Spelling. Although Tori stated that she was cast on a general basis and under a different name, she took an...

Jennie Garth is no fan of Dan Schneider‘s. The actor co-starred in the sitcom What I Like About You with Amanda Bynes from 2002-2006, a sitcom that was co-created by Schneider. Garth was asked about her working relationship with Schneider following the bombshell Quiet on Set documentary that details the alleged abuse child actors experienced on set of Schneider’s Nickelodeon shows. Garth was blunt in her response. “I don’t want to talk about Dan Schneider ever again in my life,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. Garth did not explain why she made this statement about Schneider, but her love for Bynes has not wavered. Garth says she hasn’t spoken with Bynes since the documentary debuted on Investigation Discovery, but said, “I just love her and I would love to see her at any point.” Bynes did not participate in interviews for Quiet on Set, but she...

Before Nickelodeon showrunner Dan Schneider parted ways with the slime-covered network in 2018, Schneider served as the face of the network. He spearheaded several successful tween shows like The Amanda Show, starring Amanda Bynes, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101 (starring Jamie Lynn Spears), iCarly, and Victorious. Despite the incredible success of the tween-angst comedies, a new docuseries has revealed the stark reality behind the scenes within Schneider-affiliated shows. In the four-part docuseries, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, Nickelodeon crew members, child actors, and parents detail a toxic work environment...

Those of us who grew up watching Nickelodeon’s 90s slate of shows are about to be shocked to know how bad things actually were behind the scenes. When the kids’ network added more than cartoons and children’s entertainers/game shows to their schedule, it seemed like the channel was really reaching its audience by having shows for kids and featuring kids. It would make the network much hipper, and the man behind it all was Dan Schneider. Formerly a teen actor on the 80s sitcom Head of the Class, Schneider struck it big when he produced the sketch show, All That, which was in the vein of Saturday Night Live but with younger comedian performers.

A trailer for Investigation Discovery’s docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV has revealed new allegations against prolific Nickelodeon showrunner Dan Schneider.
The four-part series investigates the career of Schneider, who created Nickelodeon hit programs like The Amanda Show, What I Like About You, Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious and Sam & Cat, and who helped launch the careers of Kenan Thompson, Amanda Bynes, Victoria Justice, Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy and others.
“Working for Dan was like being in an abusive relationship,” a former employee who is not named claims in the trailer. “There was a toxic environment. It made me trust people less,” another Nickelodeon alum alleged.
The ID series cites Schneider’s upbeat kids TV output for shaping the popular genre for a generation. But Quiet on Set, directed by Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz, also alleges behind the scenes that underage stars and crew were treated inappropriately.

Exclusive: Simon Rex (Red Rocket) will join Channing Tatum and Naomi Ackie in The Batman star Zoë Kravitz’s feature directorial debut, Pussy Island, for MGM.
The film written by Kravitz and E.T. Feigenbaum centers on Frida (Ackie), a young and clever Los Angeles cocktail waitress who has her eyes set on the prize: philanthropist and tech mogul Slater King (Tatum). When she skillfully maneuvers her way into King’s inner circle and ultimately an intimate gathering on his private island, she is ready for a journey of a lifetime. Despite the epic setting, beautiful people, ever-flowing champagne and late-night dance parties, Frida can sense that there’s more to this island than meets the eye. Something she can’t quite put her finger on. Something terrifying. Rex will play Slater’s chef, trainer and oldest friend, Cody.
Pussy Island is a co-production between This Is Important, Free Association and Bruce Cohen Productions.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched “The Dropout” on Hulu.
When crafting the soundtrack for Hulu’s “The Dropout,” music supervisor Maggie Phillips and show creator Elizabeth Meriwether sought out, as Phillips puts it, “songs that scream 2010.”
Set between 2003 and 2018, “The Dropout” chronicles the rise and fall of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes (Amanda Seyfried), as she goes from founding a medical technology company worth 9 billion to being indicted for fraud. Based on the ABC News podcast of the same name, the limited series has been critically lauded for its writing, acting and music, which incorporates everything from Katy Perry’s “Firework” to Lil Wayne’s “How to Love.”
Phillips, who supervised the show with coordinators Kristen Higuera and Andrew Brady, was drawn to it because she had never worked on a project with music that came out during her adult years.

Even Simon Rex’s personal “Red Rocket” is a work of art.
Since the film premiered at Cannes, there’s been much ado about the actor’s manhood as seen on the screen — including at the Film Independent Spirit Awards, where Rex won Best Male Lead.
“I finally had to let it be known,” Rex told People about the prosthetic.
Rex plays former porn star-turned-con man Mikey Saber in Sean Baker’s “Red Rocket.” The pandemic-shot film features a slew of nude scenes for Rex, who got his start as a model for Calvin Klein, Levi’s, and Versace before appearing in the “Scary Movie” franchise and “What I Like About You.”
While at the 33rd Producers Guild of America Awards, Rex explained that he “wasn’t allowed” to take home his favorite phallic prop.

A judge is expected to terminate Amanda Bynes’ conservatorship of nearly nine years after tentatively ruling on Monday that the former child star, now 35, no longer needs someone else to manage her personal and business affairs.
“The court determines that the conservatorship is no longer required and that grounds for establishment of a conservatorship of the person no longer exist,” Judge Roger L. Lund of Ventura County Superior Court wrote Monday in the tentative ruling, obtained by TheWrap.
Bynes filed last month to end the conservatorship, which was put in place after exhibiting erratic behavior in 2013 such as setting a driveway on fire. Her mother Lynn has been her conservator since October 2014 and is fully in support of ending the arrangement, according to Tamar Arminak, an attorney for her parents.
Bynes’ representatives didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from TheWrap.

Initially going for laughs, the leisurely creature gradually unveiled hidden talents that have wowed panelists Paula Abdul, Brian Austin Green, Ken Jeong and Ashley Tisdale. With just one episode remaining, the Sloth now hopes to become the first winner of the Fox reality TV dancing competition.
The Sloth delivered his first performance in Episode 2, proving he had a fun sense of humor by dancing to “What I Like About You” by the Romantics on various pieces of exercise equipment. Of the four remaining contestants on season 1 of “The Masked Dancer,” the Sloth is one of the best and he could well win the Diamond Mask. He had four judges rocking in their seats when he danced to “Twist Remix” by Neeraj Shridhar on February 3. That routine earned Sloth a slot in the Top 4 competing again on February 10.
