The Animals of Farthing Wood (1993)

Trivia

The Animals of Farthing Wood

Edit
The episodes were alternately animated in Britain and in France.
In the original book series the characters of Tawny Owl, Adder, Weasel, and Kestrel were all male but female in the TV series. However, Kestrel still had the colors of a male kestrel rather than a female. The name of Tawny Owl was also changed from the books to just Owl in the series.
Two of the books did not make it in the TV series. The Siege of White Deer Park was deemed too frightening for target audience and Farthing Wood: The Adventure Begins was a prequel to the very first book. The Adventure Begins was published in 1994 during the airing of the second season. Because of this, characters absent in season 3 such as Kestrel and Hare weren't given an explanation for it, how Adder met her mate Sinuous was never shown, characters such as a fox named Trip and a large wildcat known as the Beast were excluded from the TV series, and only Bold of all of Fox's offspring had a cub of his own (being Plucky who was his grandson in the books).
The Beast, Bully and Scarface are the cartoon's main antagonists.
