Screenwriter Lisa Lutz began writing the screenplay at the age of 21 in 1991, was paid or asked to rewrite it over 25 times, and ultimately had it made into a movie a decade later.
The film cast includes one Oscar winner: Diane Keaton; and two Oscar nominees: Bob Balaban and Burt Young.
