This is one of the only shows I ever watched religiously and would go to great lengths not to miss. I loved it because it was real and was not overdone with sappy dramatic and romantic drama that doesn't really happen. I could connect with real feelings and real emotions. It should still be on, but typical of network executives, they didn't think about it and cancelled it.
I saw all of the episodes of this show, and it was great! The situations were real. What situations happened in the show were actually happening to real people during those 2 years it aired. I think it was a great show, and it also emphasized how being close to your family is important. For those people who have not seen this show yet, and have the opportunity to, I would highly recommend watching it! The first 4 episodes go a little slow, but that's because each episode tells the important information about each characters traits and lifestyle. Some parts of the show are serious, while other parts just make you want to laugh. The surprise is, if you get to see all 20 episodes, how the characters act in the first 4 episodes isn't how they still are by the end of the show.
Mitch and Mary Green are just like any thirty-something California couple, except that they have three high school-aged children. Meghan, a senior, is an A-student with a rebellious nature. Cameron, the middle son, gets suspended from school and has girls sleep over. And Kenny, the youngest son, is totally inexperienced when it comes to the exciting new world of females. They may be dysfunctional, but the Greens are totally lovable. The use of creative camera angles and unusual plot devices helps make this show continually entertaining. "Get Real" is a fun, clever show that will appeal to males and females of all ages.
Here in Holland Get Real just got aired. I like the show, although I know there won't be new episodes. I don't think the show is very funny, and it's too "perfect". But the acting is nice and so are the lines. I love Kenny's bra-obsession, I suppose that's real. It sucks that the show has been cancelled, but I suppose it's understandable. I like it, but I understand that others don't. I didn't like Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries, but in this show she's very cute!
I remember this show being really funny and well put together. Revealed Anne Hathaway's promise early in her career. Sadly canceled before it could grow an audience.
