Appointment with Destiny TV Series was very interesting. Every time that it came on in the 1970s, I was there to watch it.

Each episode was an hour, and that was plenty of time to cover the subject matter at hand. It usually dealt with some historical occurrence, not really supernatural like In Search of... (1977-1982) with Leonard Nimoy, which I also enjoyed.

Some of the episodes I remember were The Plot to Murder Hitler, Showdown at the O. K. Corral, The Crucifixion of Jesus, The Last Days of John Dillinger, Cortez and Montezuma: The Conquest of an Empire, Surrender at Appomattox, and Peary's Race for the North Pole.

What was interesting was that each episode usually had a different narrator. I remember Hal Holbrook, Rod Serling, James Mason, Lorne Greene, and John Huston were just a few of the actors hired for the job.

Further:

In Search of... (TV Series 1977-1982), You Are There (1953-1972), History's Greatest Mysteries (2020), The Unexplained (2011), History's Mysteries (1998), Mysterious World (1980), Ancient Mysteries (1994-1998).
