Okay, the Christmas comedies starring Massimo Boldi and Christian De Sica have never been particularly brilliant, although some in my opinion are quite watchable (my favorite is Natale sul Nilo), but this 1999 outing is simply despicable.
Other holiday-related outings usually have a couple of good bits or characters who make even the most cynical laugh. There is no such thing in Vacanze di Natale 2000, which turns into a sleeping pill after ten minutes.
It has no real plot, as the vacation in Cortina d'Ampezzo (couldn't the Vanzina brothers change location at least once?) is just an excuse to arrange the meeting between several idiots (the leading duo, plus Nino d'Angelo, Enzo Salvi and other fellas) and some hot babes (Carmen Electra and Megan Gale). And let's not forget the dialogue. Dialogue...it's more of a stupid sexual jokes marathon actually, since the two middle-aged protagonists have nothing else to think about.Come on, even Dude, Where's My Car? is an intelligent flick compared to this one. If you ever happen to see this movie on TV, turn it off as soon as you can.

I don't really get people that give this movie a low score. Maybe they don't watch it in Italian, or they read the English subtitles. If so, I agree with you, the movie sucks. It needs to be in Italian, and you NEED to understand Italian to really appreciate this movie. It is my all time favorite of the series. De Sica and Boldi make a great couple here, they are complementary of each other. I only wish they could include Diego Abatantuono more in the movies they make (like "Paparazzi").
Anyway, for the sake of this movie, learn some Italian, and than come back to rate it again.
