It is not really difficult in coming up with cinema siblings and assessing their impact on the films they graced with humor, horror or hedonism. Whatever the combination–brother and sister, brother and brother, sister and sister–the big screen has always produced some of the most compelling siblings to entertain or shock us as the lights go dim at the local cinemaplex.
So who do you favor as your all-time favorite movie siblings? Perhaps you wouldn’t mind brothers Michael and Sam from 1987′s The Lost Boys? Or how about sisters Drizella and Anastasia from the 1950 animated film Cinderella? Maybe you could go for the transformation of television’s Brady kids into the film version of 1995′s The Brady Bunch Movie?

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge returned to Westminster Abbey, the grand setting of their wedding, Tuesday as they helped celebrate the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's coronation. Under the clear blue skies of early summer sunshine - Coronation Day June 2, 1953, was cloudy and gray - the 55-minute service brought the Royals together - including Prince Philip, 91, who was a welcome sight after he sat out a Monday evening engagement because he didn't feel well. For the occasion, mom-to-be Kate wore a bespoke soft-peach silk jacket and dress (with silver grey ribbon detail) by Jenny Packham, with a Jane Taylor...

When asked my influences, I invariably add William Shakespeare which may seem a bit pompous. Shakespeare? Really? (Aside: this column is not going to deal with the whole “Who Really Was Shakespeare?” debate. If you want to believe someone other than Shakespeare wrote Shakespeare’s play, you go ahead. It’s not germane and, frankly, I’ve read as much on the subject as I care to and so far as I’m concerned, Shakespeare wrote Shakespeare’s plays. End of discussion.) Please note I am not comparing myself to Shakespeare; simply that I’ve learned some things about writing from him.
Such as:
Theme is tied to plot. There are famous speeches and soliloquies in Shakespeare, where the character stops to speak his or her mind, none more famous than the “to Be Or Not Be” speech in Hamlet. The action, however, doesn’t just come to a stop...

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge dressed in black-tie attire for a dinner celebrating the 600th anniversary of the University of St. Andrews at Temple Hall in London today. It was a special evening for the couple, who met at St. Andrews back in 2002. For the event, Kate chose a black Alice Temperley gown, which she also wore to the UK premiere of War Horse in January. She and William both accessorized their outfits with red poppies in honor of the upcoming Remembrance Day holiday on Nov. 11. Kate's floral pin was on display earlier this week as well, when she attended a charity event with her sister, Pippa. Kate and Pippa brought Kate's dog, Lupo, to the Burlington Arcade Christmas Bazaar, where they shopped in support of the Ormiston Children and Families Trust. View Slideshow ›...

Britain's Prince Philip has denied calling Simon Cowell a "sponger." The "American Idol" judge claimed the prince made the comment when they met at 2007's Royal Variety Show, but the prince insists he does not know Simon well enough to pass judgment on him.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "The Duke of Edinburgh categorically did not call Mr. Cowell a sponger. He has no reason to. He has said he does not know enough about Mr. Cowell to make any sort of comment about him."
"Mr. Cowell may have misheard the Duke, he has a very soft voice."
Speaking on talk show "The Tonight Show" recently, Simon claimed: "At the end, if you are involved in it, you have to stand around for hours and then say hello. Queen Elizabeth ignored me and her husband called me a sponger. It was a bit embarrassing. It was a bit awkward."...
