In 2001, Giuseppe Piccioni’s romantic drama “Light of My Eyes” was screened at the Venice Film Festival, where it took home the Best Actor and Actress Awards. Now, the Italian director returns to the festival with his film “These Days” (“Questi giorni”), which will compete for the Golden Lion.
Starring Laura Adriani, Margherita Buy and Giulio Corso, “These Days” follows four girls who go on an adventure together to Belgrade, where a mysterious friend and an improbable work opportunity are waiting. Their friendship is based not on overwhelming passions, mutual interests or great ideals but rather on habits, occasional enthusiasms, harmless contrasts and feelings cultivated in secret.
Ahead of its premiere at Venice, IndieWire has a new trailer for the upcoming drama, which highlights the friends’ journey as they come to appreciate their present lives.

A funny thing happened at the multiplex this past summer. Tom Cruise toplined a flashy, expensive blockbuster called Edge of Tomorrow, filled with all manner of explosions, nasty aliens and time-travel shenanigans – and it opened not only low, but shockingly low. Where was the love for Cruise, once a highly bankable star? And the actor aside, why didn’t people come for the same kind of popcorn thrills that have made even obviously awful flicks like every Transformers so successful?
A lot of people blamed the forgettable and generic title, which is admittedly the film’s weakest facet. And though I’m sure the blame doesn’t rest solely there, Warner Bros. clearly felt strongly enough about it to “rebrand” the movie for home platforms. Hence, Edge of Tomorrow is now Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow.

Who’s It For?: Supposedly Edge of Tomorrow didn’t make as much money as Warner Bros. would have liked. It was appreciated by critics, and those who saw it, but that wasn’t enough. So now this film will be the guinea pig for a new marketing technique … kind of, sort of change the title, but not really. Live. Die. Repeat is the film you may think you’re renting/buying, but you’re simply getting a Tom Cruise blockbuster smart science fiction film with a really good performance from Emily Blunt and a truly entertaining story.

Live. Die. Repeat. It’s an unusual process, but one Bill Cage must endure time and time again if he’s to lead the humans to victory against an alien onslaught. Bill’s strange reincarnation is at the core of the Tom Cruise-starring sci-fi action flick, Edge of Tomorrow, which hits home media this fall.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has unveiled the Blu-Ray/DVD release date and disc specs (including some nifty covers) for action extravaganza Edge of Tomorrow. This is one home release we’re anticipating here at We Got This Covered, seeing as the Tom Cruise/Emily Blunt starrer was one of the very best summer blockbusters we’ve seen in a long time. And now, we’ve learned that the Blu-Ray/DVD combos will be streeting on October 7th.
Early information indicates that there will be a Blu-Ray 3D/Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack, in addition to a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack. Both sets come with Digital HD codes, though Warner Bros. traditionally only offers UltraViolet codes, not iTunes-compatible ones. The list of special features is as follows:

"Their patience is running out."
Sophia's statement was not made from a position of stable authority. Such a statement is an admission of instability, disequilibrium, looming chaos. She might as well have said, "I cannot control my people's actions"; the meaning would have been approximately the same. President Martinez should have known her words were a statement of weakness and not "a threat". Sophia rules a house divided.
In fact, the 97 and the dozens among us are split into no less than three factions. If only the president understood this. He could exploit the knowledge to improve his position. But by next week the President of the United States will understand only one thing: two hundred innocent civilians were murdered by a foreign entity possessing super-human intelligence and superior weaponry. He will not understand this as a threat. President Martinez will understand this as a declaration of war.
