    Done before, done better....

This movie is hugely disappointing. The premise is fine, if tired - but when you're more interested in the bad guys than the hero, something is wrong.

Danny Nucci is good looking - something you can't avoid noticing as he's pretty in every scene...whether he's waking from a drug induced slumber or getting off the floor after getting slugged, he's still picture perfect. I know it's fiction, but please!

Also, his performance is sluggish at best. Could he move any slower?! Actually, the whole movie suffers from too many pauses, too much camera "lingering"...lots of "confused expression" pans. So, a great movie if you just want to see a very pretty young man look confused, yet constantly well-groomed.

A good but not great entertainment

There was enough gripping suspense to make me want to see the film through to the end, despite a few times when it dragged. Having the star bare his torso so often is a clue that more time might should been spent developing plot devices. Still, it was a compelling (if far-fetched) story and I'll probably watch it again some day -- when folding laundry.

Sublet, an entertaining 4AM TV movie

I'm still watching the movie as I type this, but so far it has been interesting. I started watching it probably about 10 minutes in, so I'm missing the very basic set-up, but they do eventually get the pieces together if you missed the beginning. The actors do their parts very well. So far its been the basic government conspiracy/mistaken identity type movie, with a dash of romance. It is definitely a TV movie, I wouldn't have paid to see this in any form, but worth watching if you're bored at 4 AM and it comes on TV. The ending was a bit mediocre (I believe there could have been a stronger ending, or something a bit more exciting at the least). It seems like there would be room for a sequel, however the character development to continue was not there. The plot twists are enticing, however predictable.

we have seen this type of film done before

The basic plot of mistaken identity, world wide conspiracy has been done many times:But SUBLET has something the others did not,& that my friends is the star DANNY NUCCI is an absolute delight as the ever so naive & innocent young man caught in a web of intrigue & danger & of course love.

some parts are a bit confusing, but the entire film is so enjoyable it does not matter. Sit back & have fun like I did
