I guess the Italian makers of this film were bored of all the WW2-themed war movies filling cinemas at the time, as for a change they decided to make a movie based on the Six Day War between Egypt and Israel instead. Not that it makes a jot of difference, because it turns out to have EXACTLY the same plot as most other Italian war movies I've seen: a crack team of soldiers are sent on a dangerous mission and end up getting stranded in the desert, where they are forced to fight off numerous attacks by the enemy.
THE BATTLE FOR SINAI is hardly a film to get excited about, with the kind of bad dubbing and middling acting skills that you'd expect from an Italian genre flick. Even worse, there's a glut of dull dialogue scenes here, interspersed with a handful of sub-par action sequences that fail to get the pulse racing. The novelty of having the action take place from an Israeli perspective does nothing to contribute towards making this a watchable movie.
