- Norma Watson: Oh. Miss Tate. I didn't mean to make you jump. It's Halloween. I guess everyone's entitled to one good scare.
- Laurie Strode: I've had my share.
- Laurie Strode: Okay, John. I know that you get your smart mouth from my side of the family, so I'll cut you a break.
- Laurie Strode: Molly please, do you have any thoughts on Victor and Elizabeth?
- Molly: Well, um, well I think that Victor should have confronted the monster sooner. He's completely responsible for Elizabeth's death because he was so paralyzed by fear that he never did anything. It took death for the guy to get a clue.
- Laurie Strode: And why do you think he was finally able to confront his monster?
- Molly: I think that Victor had reached a point in his life where he had nothing left to lose. I mean the monster sought to that by killing off everybody that he loved. Victor finally had to face it. It was about redemption... it was his fate.

- John: We're out of Perkadyne.

- John: Cash is good. I'm gonna need it when I go to Yosemite.

- Charlie: [Charlie takes the keys and walks over to the car]

- John: That it's over, that we should try to make some attempt at a happy existence, Mom, 'cause all the shit that's going on inside of your head is leaking out on me and I can't take it anymore. You told me, yourself, you watched him burn.
- Laurie Strode: I didn't exactly stay to see his ashes, John.
- John: Mom, 20 years. 20 years. Don't think he would've shown up by now? What's he waiting for, huh?
- Laurie Strode: [Doesn't respond]

- [Starts to walk away]

- John: If you wanna stay handcuffed to your dead brother, that's fine, but you're not dragging me along, not anymore!

- Laurie Strode: [Discussing the novel, "Frankenstein", with the class] Very good point, A.J. So, what could Victor have done to save Elizabeth?

- Laurie Strode: Anybody at all?
- [Still no response]
- Laurie Strode: Come on, people. Did anybody read the book?
- [Still no response]
- Laurie Strode: Guys, it's "Frankenstein". You could've watched the movie.
- [as Molly is staring out the window, seeing Michael Myers]

- [She gestures for him to come over]
- John: What?
- Laurie Strode: [Hands him a piece of paper] It's a permission slip. Bus leaves in 45 minutes.
- [Starting to cry a little]
- Laurie Strode: Go pack quick.
- John: Mom, I don't have to go.
- Laurie Strode: [Insisting] Go. Just go. Just have fun.
- John: You sure?
- Laurie Strode: Yes. Look, it's good for you. It's good for me. So, just call me. Call and call. If you feel like you've called too many times...
- [Whispered]
- Laurie Strode: Call once more.
- [Chuckles]
- Laurie Strode: Have a great time.
- John: Thanks, Mom.
- [He walks away and out into the hall, meeting back up with Molly]
- Molly: What was that about?
- John: [Showing her the permission slip] She changed her mind about Yosemite.
- Molly: So now you're going?
- John: [Crunching up the permission slip] I wouldn't say that.
- Laurie Strode: [as the whole student body boards the buses to Yosemite, Laurie is on the phone with one of the parents of one of her students] No, no, no. If we're at the midterm and she was having this problem, I think we'd be fine. But, no, she's doing fine.
- [Seeing the kids board the buses to Yosemite]
- Laurie Strode: Mrs. Chaney, can I call you right back?
- [She rushes outside to see if John made it one of the buses, but is too late; as she turns to walk away, she bumps into her secretary, Norma]
- Norma Watson: Oooh!
- Laurie Strode: Oh! Damn it!
- Norma Watson: Oh! Oh, Miss Tate! I'm, I'm so sorry. I, I didn't mean to make you jump.
- Laurie Strode: It's okay.
- Norma Watson: Well, hey, it's Halloween. I guess everyone's entitled to one good scare.
- Laurie Strode: I've had my share.
- Norma Watson: [as she starts to head back to her office] Miss Tate? I know it's not my place. If I could be... maternal for a moment. I don't like to see you like this. I've seen you like this before and... we've all had bad things happen to us. The trick is to concentrate on... today. What do I know? You just take care of yourself, okay?
- Laurie Strode: Thank you very much. I'll see you Monday.
- Norma Watson: [as Laurie heads back to her office, Norma walks to her car] Oh! Miss, Miss Tate! Happy Halloween!
