The film is best remembered for an infamous premonitory line at its conclusion said by Ramzi Ahmed Yousef, played by Art Malik when he sees the World Trade Center for a last time and says "Next time, we will bring them both down". In 2001, the towers were one of the targets of the September 11 attacks and Yousef's uncle, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, is said to be one of the masterminds behind the attacks.
The film also featured a connection with the assassination of Rabbi Meir Kahane on November 5, 1990. El Sayyid Nosair, the alleged assassin, was sentenced to 22 years in Attica State Prison in New York. It was later revealed that Nosair was linked to Sheikh Omar Abdul-Rahman where he was charged with terror conspiracy and sentenced to life imprisonment in November 1995. Nosair, while in prison in Attica, did involve himself in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the failed New York City landmark bomb plot and during his November 1995 trial, Nosair's relatives were receiving funds to pay off his legal defense fees from Osama Bin Laden - the latter of whom the mastermind of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
