Fans are getting more excited about the return of Landman after the addition of Sam Elliott to the cast. The news has gotten even better as it's now been reported that Elliott will have a substantial role as one of the show's new stars, making his involvement much more than a brief guest role.

Last month, there had been reports that Elliott was in talks for a role in Landman Season 2. Landman star Billy Bob Thornton would later mention in an interview that Elliott, who he goes "back to the '80s with," would be in Season 2, seemingly confirming the casting. Now, a new report by Variety has revealed that Elliott's role is as a series regular. Additional details about his role haven't yet been revealed, though Elliott joins Thornton, Demi Moore, Ali Larter, Andy Garcia, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan, and Colm Feore.

Anthony Michael Hall has joined Netflix’s “Wednesday” for Season 2 in an undisclosed role, Variety has learned.

The casting marks a reunion between Hall and “Wednesday” executive producer and director Tim Burton, who Hall previously worked with on the 1990 classic “Edward Scissorhands.”

“Wednesday” follows Jenna Ortega in the titular role of the psychic “Addams Family” daughter in her time as a student at Nevermore Academy. The second season of the series, which debuted its hit first season in November 2022, will launch on the streamer in two parts set to drop August 6 and September 3.

Along with Hall, the previously announced new actors joining the cast for “Wednesday” Season 2 include Steve Buscemi (“The Big Lebowski”), Billie Piper (“Scoop”), Evie Templeton (“Return to Silent Hill”), Owen Painter (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) and Noah Taylor (“Park Avenue”).

The Only Living Pickpocket in New York is an upcoming drama film from T-Street Productions starring John Turturro as a career pickpocket forced into a high-stakes situation. The film has recently added Tatiana Maslany (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law), Steve Buscemi (Wednesday), and Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) to the cast.

Per Deadline, Esposito, Buscemi, and Maslany have joined the cast, though their roles remain undisclosed. The film follows Turturro's character, Harry, in a desperate race against time through the streets of New York City. Turturro most recently starred as Irving in the hit Apple TV series Severance. His performance, as well as those of his cast members, along with the magnetic writing on the Ben Stiller-created series, led to a rapid third season renewal for the show.

Cinespia is paying tribute to the late David Lynch with a screening of his seminal 1986 noir Blue Velvet, following the auteur’s death at age 78 in January.

For its 24th season, the Los Angeles outdoor screening series is partnering with Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video, kicking off with a Memorial Day weekend lineup of two LA-based classics at Hollywood Forever Cemetary; The Big Lebowski (1998) on Saturday, May 24, and a 30th anniversary screening of Clueless (1995) on Sunday, May 25.

Blue Velvet will play Saturday, May 31, also at Hollywood Forever, which serves as Lynch’s final resting place after he died from complications with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

“Cinespia has always been a love letter to Los Angeles and to the movies that shaped us,” said Cinespia founder John Wyatt in a statement. “We’re honored to begin this season with two unforgettable portraits of our city, and a tribute to the great David Lynch.

Cinespia is back for a 24th season at L.A.’s Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and this year’s lineup of outdoor movie screenings includes a tribute to the late auteur David Lynch at the site of his final resting place.

The summer season kicks off over Memorial Day weekend with the presentation of two L.A. stories: the Coen Brothers’ “The Big Lebowski” on Saturday, May 24, followed by a 30th anniversary screening of Amy Heckerling’s “Clueless” on Sunday, May 25.

Then, on Saturday, May 31, Cinespia will present “Blue Velvet,” Lynch’s 1986 masterpiece starring Isabella Rossellini, Kyle MacLachlan, Dennis Hopper and Laura Dern. Lynch, who radicalized American film with a dark, surrealistic artistic vision in films like “Blue Velvet” and “Mulholland Drive” and network television with “Twin Peaks,” died Jan. 15. He was 78.

Jeff Bridges has been teasing a possible return to one of his most iconic roles: The Dude in the Coen Brothers movie, The Big Lebowski. At a time when everyone wants to dip back into popular movies of their past and bring out an unexpected and potentially unwanted sequel, prequel, or spinoff, Bridges has been part of a couple of late franchise returns already, thanks to his involvement in the Tron franchise. Now, it seems, he would be more than happy to have another run out as The Dude, and added that one of his costars often “fantasized” about it happening with him.

The Big Lebowski was not a runaway success when it was originally released over 25 years ago, but still made $46.7 million from its $15 million budget. Over time, though, it has become the perfect embodiment of a cult classic and is often cited as one of the most influential and quoted comedies of all-time.

Per Deadline, Bridges attended a screening for The Big Lebowski in Los Angeles and was asked whether he'd be interested in reprising his iconic role of The Dude in a potential sequel. The acclaimed actor would confirm that not only would he be more than willing to return, but that his The Big Lebowski co-star Julianne Moore would as well. "Of course," Bridges said. Oscar-winning documentary “No Other Land” has been made newly available for digital rent in North America in an effort to fundraise for Masafer Yatta communities.

The three-week fundraiser, which starts Friday and lasts through May 9, allows individuals and organizations to rent the film and hold their own screenings. Proceeds will go to the Masafer Yatta communities that are depicted in the film.

Landman lead Billy Bob Thornton has teased the arrival of a Yellowstone and Western staple in the Taylor Sheridan drama series. Thanks to the likes of the neo-noir success that is Yellowstone and all its various spin-offs, Taylor Sheridan has now become a franchise all his own, with Landman being one of the writer, director, and producer’s other hits outside the world of the Duttons.

Now, Landman is looking to add Yellowstone universe star and Academy Award nominee Sam Elliott to the roster. After rumors of his casting, Billy Bob Thornton has now confirmed (via Deadline) that Elliott will join Landman Season 2 in a key role.

Back in December, Warner Bros and Legendary Entertainment announced that González Iñárritu’s film will premiere on October 2, 2026. Rugged, harrowing, and perfectly self-contained, why mess with that, no? Some shows deserve a ride off into the sunset, not a dragged-out sequel that overstays its welcome. So yeah, I’m glad it ended where it did. And if that makes me the villain, do hand me the black hat, and let’s ride.

A rainy day in Santa Barbara, and Jeff Bridges sits in his garage, wondering where his favourite spectacles have got to. We are in the middle of a rangy conversation on a video call, meandering our way from Bob Dylan to the anthropomorphism of bees, via Crazy Heart, Cutter’s Way and The Big Lebowski. There are sidetracks and double-backs and loose threads. Intermittently, an unseen assistant hands the actor pairs of glasses seemingly identical to the ones he is already wearing. Bridges, in a soft brown cardigan, inspects each pair and dismisses them. “Where was I?” he asks.

The first trailer for the Steve Buscemi-led black comedy Psycho Therapy: The Shallow Tale of a Writer Who Decided to Write About a Serial Killer has been released. Directed by Turkish filmmaker Tolga Karaçelik in his English-language debut, the film follows John Magaro (Past Lives) as Keane, a writer whose crumbling marriage to Suzie (Britt Lower) is further complicated by his years-long struggle to complete a book about serial killers. His luck takes a bizarre turn when he meets Kollmick (Buscemi), an ex-murderer who offers to mentor him in the finer points of homicide.

The newly released trailer for Psycho Therapy shows things spiral further out of control when Suzie mistakes reformed serial killer Kollmick for their new marriage counselor (via Brainstorm Media). Psycho Therapy is set to premiere in New York theaters on April 4. The film will also star Ward Harton, Olli Haaskivi, and Lower's Severance co-star Sydney Cole Alexander.

Born in 1957, Hollywood actor John Turturro hails from Brooklyn, New York City. With a jazz singer mother, actor brother, and actress cousin, Turturro has been surrounded by the arts from a young age. His rise to prominence as an actor came with frequent collaborations with directors Spike Lee and the Coen brothers. Roles in films such as Do the Right Thing and The Big Lebowski have cemented Turturro as an incredibly talented, if underutilized, Hollywood talent.

Steve Buscemi joins Sam Rockwell in the cast of Martin McDonagh's upcoming movie Wild Horse Nine. One of the most prominent character actors in Hollywood, Buscemi has an impressive filmography, first shooting to fame with a supporting role in Quentin Tarantino's debut Reservoir Dogs. He later appeared in several hit movies, including Pulp Fiction, Con Air, The Big Lebowski, and Ghost World. With a strong body of work on television too, including a supporting role in The Sopranos and the lead role in Boardwalk Empire, Buscemi remains one of the most recognizable and iconic stars of film and TV.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Buscemi will replace Mark Ruffalo in Wild Horse Nine, and is also joined by Parker Posey and John Malkovich. The movie, which McDonagh will write and direct, is described as a darkly comedic drama, and will begin shooting later this month in Rapa Nui, aka Easter Island.

Steve Buscemi has joined the high-flying cast of Wild Horse Nine, a Searchlight feature being directed by Martin McDonagh. It is the filmmaker’s first feature since his acclaimed The Banshees of Inisherin.

Sam Rockwell, who starred in McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, as well as John Malkovich and Parker Posey are already in the saddle for the dark comedic drama that begins shooting later this month in Rapa Nui, also known as Easter Island.

Plot and character details are being kept under wraps, but it is extremely rare that a production, let alone an American or British one, shoots on the island, which lies 3,700 kilometers off the coast of Chile and is one of the most remote, inhabited islands on Earth. It is also one of the rare areas not overrun by modern conveniences, as it is run by the Rapa Nui National Park.

John Goodman is recovering after being injured during the production of an upcoming, untitled Alejandro González Iñárritu movie for Warner Bros. and Legendary, starring Tom Cruise.

The actor “experienced a hip injury,” a Warner Bros. spokesperson said in a statement.

“He received immediate medical attention that led to a brief delay in shooting to allow him time to recover,” the statement continues. “The production resumes shooting next week following John’s full recovery.”

The film was not shooting when Goodman was injured.

The untitled movie, the first to emerge from Cruise’s new deal with Warner Bros. and the first English-language feature from Iñárritu since Leonardo DiCaprio starrer The Revenant nearly a decade ago, is set to hit theaters on Oct. 2, 2026, taking the release date originally occupied by the studio’s Batman sequel.

John Goodman sustained a hip injury during the production of Alejandro González Iñárritu’s latest film starring Tom Cruise, which has delayed filming in the U.K. for Warner Bros, Variety has confirmed.

“Actor John Goodman experienced a hip injury,” a Warner Bros. spokesperson said in a statement. “He received immediate medical attention that led to a brief delay in shooting to allow him time to recover. The production resumes shooting next week following John’s full recovery.”

Variety exclusively reported in October that production for Iñárritu’s untitled project was to kick off in the U.K. in November. The film is the director’s first English-language movie since 2016’s “The Revenant,” which earned Leonardo DiCaprio his first and only Oscar. Iñárritu also serves as producer and penned the script with Sabina Berman and “Birdman” co-writers Nicolas Giacobone and Alexander Dinelaris. Plot details remain under wraps.

We understand Goodman slipped during the past week while blocking a scene at the UK’s Pinewood Studios and was taken to hospital for treatment.
