This is the only film in the franchise where "Ivy" is the protagonist, not the antagonist.
In a later interview, Alyssa Milano was questioned about the film. She responded by saying: "I hope my Poison Ivy days are over," meaning after posing totally nude for Bikini magazine in the early '90s to break out of her "good girl teen" persona after her series Who's the Boss went off the air and playing naked femme fatales in three previous movies in '95 and '96 before this one, she was done with onscreen nudity. She never appeared naked in films or shows again after his film.
Jaime Pressly confirmed in 2008 that she has an uncredited role in this film and appears nude, but she was not body doubling Drew Barrymore according to rumors. She revealed in Playboy magazine, "Drew plays Ivy in the first Poison Ivy film, and in Poison Ivy 2 Alyssa Milano plays the art student who moves into Ivy's old room in a house with other students. She finds a diary and pictures of Drew's character in a closet. The pictures are supposed to be of Drew, but they're of me, though you never see my face." Pressly went on to star in the 1997 sequel Poison Ivy: The New Seduction.
Very little is available music wise from the soundtrack despite the film being 25 years old. There are some YouTube clips but no concrete soundtrack available for purchase.
