Trivia

Streets of Laredo

Edit
James Garner had been offered the roles of both Gus and Call in Lonesome Dove (1989), but had to decline for health reasons.
"The Streets of Laredo" was author Larry McMurtry's original title for the screenplay that later became his novel, "Lonesome Dove".
This was actor James Garner's final Western before his death in 2014.
James Garner's role was originally played by Tommy Lee Jones in Lonesome Dove (1989). Garner and Jones would later appear together in Space Cowboys (2000).
Lorena runs into Tinkersley, whom she appears to recognize. Though he only appears in this film, in Lonesome Dove (1989) Gus (Robert Duvall) explains to Dish Boggett (D.B. Sweeney) that Tinkersley was her first pimp.
