Mel Gibson in Forever Young (1992)

Trivia

Forever Young

Edit
The lighthouse featured in the film, and on the poster, is the Point Arena Lighthouse, located on one of the furthest West points of the Continental United States, near Manchester, California. The house in the film, was a shell built by the production team, and was torn down after filming. The only permanent structures near the lighthouse are some vacation rental units, formerly Coast Guard barracks, and the Lighthouse Keeper's residence, which is now a museum maintained by local volunteers. The lighthouse has recently undergone renovations, and is open to the public.
J.J. Abrams' script was sold for $2 million under its original title of "The Rest of Daniel".
The book that Nat gives Daniel to read so he can catch up on history is "Chronicle of America" by Clifton Daniel, which spans the years 1600 to 1989, the latter being the year the book was published.
The showed notes contained in Harry's composition notebooks were literally transcribed from the section 2.9 "Pressure Distribution in Rigid-Body Motion" of the book Fluid Mechanics by Frank M. White.
When Daniel is making phone calls to locate his friend, the phone number that he leaves on the answering machine is 555-2368. That phone number is the same as the one used in Ghostbusters (1984) in their television commercials. This phone number was also the phone number used in When a Stranger Calls (1979); Carol Kane's character Jill Johnson gives Police Sergeant Saggert a phone number of where she is babysitting. The above number: 555-2368 was the number she gave to the Sergeant, when she was speaking to him on the phone.
