The sister town to Eerie, Indiana is called "Normal, Illinois".
The original opening title sequence for this show featured shots from classic horror movies. Amongst them: White Zombie (1932), Nosferatu (1922), and Night of the Living Dead (1968).
In "Heart on a Chain," Marshall's teacher is Miss Annabel Lee. On her desk is a small picture of Edgar Allen Poe, who wrote the poem, "Annabel Lee."
A crow is seen or heard in every episode of the series.
