    How to murder an Italian

I'm not surprised that no one has commented on this movie because it didn't make much noise when it came, nor when it disappeared, but if you've got the chance do rent it, pleas do, it's a little jewel of a movie. The movie claims to be based on a true story and it probably is. Tracey Ullman plays the wife of a pizza man who decides to kill her husband when she finds out he's cheating on her. She's cheered on by her morbid Yugoslav mother and aided by her admirer, the new age bus boy at the pizza place. But everything goes wrong. The actors are excellent and Kevin Kline is SO funny as the macho Italian and River Phoenix is perfect as the love struck wannabe killer. I've seen the movie a couple of times and I always laugh until I fall off my bed when I see Keanu Reeves and William Hurt as the two cousins with one brain cell (together) who are called in to finish the husband off. It has to be seen! There is no glamour in this movie. People look completely real and they live in a house that looks totally normal, full of toys and ugly furniture. Don't be put off by the title. See it, you won't be disappointed.

    Love this movie

I love this movie and its crazy to know that its a true story- a wacky but true story. I think the movie has a really different type of sense of humor but then again so do I. All of the characters are really funny in their own ways and it made me laugh to see them all interacting together. The father (Kevin Klein) is so clueless about everything. This movie takes some serious subjects and make them funny and something to joke about- not to mention its a true story. Also, Keanu Reeves who usually does serious movie roles like the matrix and sweet November is hilarious in this movie, he plays a total druggy and does a really good job at it. Anyways I have seen this movie tons of times and recommend that you watch it, maybe you'll like it maybe you wont.

    Feel like laughing ?

I've seen this movie some times already, and today I was checking a local movie channel and it was on..

I saw it again, and when it ended some minutes ago, I felt like checking imdb for some info on it..

I think this movie is really funny. If you feel like laughing, this is indeed a good title to see.

It tells the story of a Pizza maker, who is the typical 'macho latino', and his wife, who finds out that he his having a love affair with other girls..

She decides to kill him, but when she tries to do so.. things happen :)

HE just doesn't die.. car bomb, poison, NOTHING seems to kill that guy..

just check it out .. and be ready to laugh your stomach out..

    Many funny scenes

All of the actors in this movie do hysterical work and make this movie very enjoyable to watch. Even Kline does a great Italian! Plowright and Tracey Ullman really resemble one another and their scenes are great. Add Harlan & Marlon (Hurt & Keanu) and River Phoenix, and a great cameo by Miriam Margoyles are Kleins' mother, and you've got yourself a highly watchable movie.

Almost too funny to be true.

In spite of Kevin Kline's fractured Italian accent, this is one of the funniest movies ever. It is a true story. I've seen the couple interviewed on two television programs.....they are exactly as Kevin Kline and Tracy Ullman depicted them. I have shown this tape to guests and most recently to a large group of seniors. My popularity rate has moved up a notch or two because of choosing this movie. It's a "feel good and leave you laughing" story. Well worth a trip and a search at the video store.

Devo Nod: Well, they are drug addicts.

Rosalie Boca: Oh my God! You hired drug addicts?

Devo Nod: Who'd you expect me to hire? The Red Cross?

Nadja: They seem like very polite boys.

Rosalie Boca: I don't like having drug addicts in my house!
