Brinke Stevens considers 'Haunting Fear' to be her finest dramatic performance, and has named it as her favorite of her films in several interviews.
Brinke Stevens wrote a screen play called "Buried Nightmares" that was to be a sequel to Haunting Fear, but the movie was never produced.
The house used in this film was also seen in Evil Spirits.
Just before filming the scene where Michael Berryman performs an autopsy on Brinke Stevens, Stevens joked with him saying, "I hope your hands are warm!" Berryman smiled wickedly and replied, "I've stuck them in the freezer all morning for you."
Shot in six days.
