The Jesus Film (1979)

Goofs

The Jesus Film

Edit

Continuity

After the Roman Soldiers nail Jesus' feet to the cross, the next shot has the soldiers ready to attempt to hoist the cross. There is no nail on Jesus' left wrist as there was in the previous shot.

Revealing mistakes

After laying the body in the tomb, the actor under the burial shroud can clearly be seen breathing.

Anachronisms

Some of the disciples are clean shaven. Jewish men at the time always wore beards, either trimmed or "cave man" style.
Many of the male extras in the film and in the New Media Bible version have mustaches which were not in style in first century Palestine.
During the prologue, a motor vehicle of some kind can be seen moving (for a fraction of a second) in the extreme background.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Jesus is praying in The Garden of Gethsemane, he begins to kneel and His voice is heard, in the next shot His lips are moving but no words are coming out.
