Count Dracula and Dr. Frank N. Furter both live in a castle and wear a similar high-collared black cape. Dracula lives in Transylvania, Romania, and Frank, Magenta, and Riff Raff are from a galaxy called Transylvania. Magenta has a Romanian accent. Dracula has a mad thrall who is hunchbacked, named R. M. Renfield, who resembles Riff Raff.

Dr. Frank N. Furter's name comes from Dr. Frankenstein, because they both create human beings in a laboratory. They both live in a castle. Dr. Frankenstein has a mad lab assistant who is hunchbacked, named Fritz, who resembles Riff Raff. The Creature is afraid of fire, like Riff Raff.

Dr. Scott resembles Dr. Xavier. The scene where Magenta wields a gun resembles a scene where Joanne pulls a gun on Lee. Cannibalism is a theme in both movies.
