Middling Chorizo western with typical Spaghetti actors . It is set in Nevada , in Sun Valley town , a place full of mud and dirtiness , with its Public School and the Sun Valley Bank , it is a very famous bank for being the safest office in the West , that's why it has never been robbed . But a gang led by Michigan (Mark Edwards) formed by grizzled gunslingers (Piero Lulli , Fernando Bilbao , Fernando Sancho , Frank Braña , Charly Bravo) arrives in the town in search of gold and they execute scheming plans to steal it by using dynamite , digging underground , and blow it up . Both of whom match wills and wits and ambition among them , and most especially greed threaten to turn their successful hold-up into disaster . Although they have to wait on Saturday , that's why the bank is next to the public school . Meanwhile , a loving triangle is developed among Poldo (Charly Bravo) , the saloon girl Sophia (Barbara Carroll) and her sister , the kiddies school teacher named Marion (Carmen Sevilla) . Along the way , the bandit Reyes (Fernando Sancho) is incarcerated at local jail but when the bank explosion takes place he escapes . Through enormous difficulties , they eventually succeed in robbing gold . At the end they struggle among themselves to unearth the golden bars from a remote location falling prey to each other's bullets.
It is an exciting Tortilla Western that scrutinizes the greed and paranoia of a group of cutthroats , including showdown among them . This is a tale of robbing , ambition and killing , as various robbers fall out over the gold they have taken from a heavily guarded bank and , subsequently , being stranded on an inhospitable and extremely snowy place . There is plenty of action in the movie , guaranteeing explosions , shootouts or stunts every few minutes , including plot twists and a spectacular final confrontation . This is a tale of murders , crosses , doublé-crosses , fear and greed , as six colleagues fall out over the gold they have clawed out from a strange location , and , finally , besieged by snowy mountains . The moving dynamic of the motley gang together is passable and is what mostly keeps this movie going . This film belongs to Paella/Spaghetti sub-genre and particularly those Westerns set in snowy landscapes whose main classic was ¨The great silence¨ or ¨Il Grande Silenzio¨(68) by Sergio Corbucci , along with ¨Quanto Costa Morire¨(68) by Sergio Merolle , ¨Gli Specialist¨ by Corbucci , ¨The call wild¨ (72) by Ken Annakin , ¨Zanna Blanca¨ (73) , ¨Il Ritorno De Zanna Blanca¨ (74) by Lucio Fulci , ¨Il Richiamo Del Lupo¨ by Gianfranco Baldanello , ¨Glubbe Rosse¨ by Joe D'Amato and ¨Cut-Throats Nine¨ or ¨Condenados a Vivir¨ by Joaquin Romero Marchent , all of them shot in white , rocky , snowy , mountainous outdoors . The musician Stelvio Cipriani composes an ordinary but inappropriate soundtrack in the seventies style ; including catching though dated songs . Atmospheric scenario with barren outdoors , dirty environment in the muddy town , snowy as well as thunderous exteriors and a glimmer sun and fine sets with striking cinematography by the prestigious Hans Burmann . Cameraman Burmann has a long career from the sixties , including successes as ¨Bearn¨, ¨Guantanamera¨ , ¨Rey Pasmado¨, ¨Gitanos¨ , ¨Open your eyes¨, ¨Tesis¨ and ¨Los Girasoles Ciegos¨. The picture resulted to be shot entirely on location in Aragon Pyrinees , Lerida and Huesca , and Cataluña
The motion picture titled ¨The boldest job in the west¨or ¨Nevada¨or ¨El Mas Fabuloso Golpe Del Far West¨ was regularly directed by José Antonio De La Loma. He was an acceptable professional , especially famous for his ¨Quinqui¨ movies and particularly for ¨Perros Callejeros saga . As he directed ¨Perros Callejeros¨, ¨Perros Callejeros II¨, ¨Ultimos Golpes Del Torete¨, ¨Perras Callejeras¨ and finally ¨3 Dias De Libertad¨ . His style is pretty much urban and realistic as well in the atmosphere as in the fresh dialog and attempted to take a position in favor of outcast people . Jose Antonio De La Loma chose young and natural actors as Angel Fernandez Franco ¨Torete¨ and Bernard Seray who played their parts to the hilt , unafraid of filmmaker's unsympathetic camera and the particularity of the characters . In ¨Perros Callejeros¨ series we see their troubles growing in such streets , slums or "barrios" from Barcelona and outskirts and other coastal places and some fine locations . In these films Jose Antonio De La Loma showed the ugliness of those "barrios" , filthiness , toughness and cold existence . In his youthful De La Loma worked as a teacher in the Chinese barrio of Barcelona and he lived poorness and isolation . As he hired true delinquents who used their peculiar slang and particular behaves , all of them give a certain realism to these offbeat films . Juan Antonio De La Loma had a long career including titles as a writer and a filmmaker in all kinds of genres , as Western : ¨Professional for a massacre¨ ,¨Texas Kid¨ ,¨Clint the solitary¨ , ¨Return of Clint¨, ¨The last Mohican¨, ¨Seven pistols for Timothy¨ , ¨Viva Carrancho¨, ¨The Boldest job in the West¨, ¨Blood at sundown¨or ¨Porque Seguir Matando¨ and Action : ¨Metralleta Stein¨ , ¨Razzia¨ , ¨Explosion¨ , Squadron: Counterforce¨or "Playing with Death" , ¨Goma 2¨ , ¨Tony Carrera¨, "Playboy to Kill" and several others .
