- When the movie was first shown by the BBC in 1967, the beach scene involving Jessie Robins and Ivor Cutler, lasting nearly two minutes, was cut for unknown reasons. Yet when it was re-shown in the 70s, the scene was included.
- The 1988 home video release featured re-mixed stereo versions of the songs and restored & re-mastered "Visual" (picture) & dialogue (sound). This remix preserved the voice-over that shouts 'ROLL UP, ROLL UP FOR THE MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR - STEP RIGHT THIS WAY!' which was originally unique to the film and noticeably differed from that heard on the released EP and album recordings. Subsequent releases have unfortunately over-dubbed the songs with the stereo master from the released version and the voice is thus no longer preserved.
