- Ellen Grange: They all think that any decent woman would prefer to die than live as an Apache squaw. Maybe they're right.

- [Grange moves toward Toller with his rifle in his hand. Toller disarms him and kicks both into the dirt]

- Willard Grange: Pick it up!
- Toller: Be careful Grange.
- Willard Grange: I told you to pick it up!
- Toller: You've got another one in your hostler use that one or backwater.
- Ellen Grange: So, you saved me again, Mr Remsberg. This time you saved my honor. Only now you know there is none left to save.
- Jess Remsberg: I had a Comanche wife.
- Ellen Grange: Well, that's different. No one thinks it wrong for a man to take himself an Indian girl. As long as he leaves her behind when he goes.
- Lt. Scotty McAllister: Tell the men that the water they've got in their canteen will have to last them until the reinforcements arrive. Any man who uses his up - will just have to drink his own sweat.
